Just found out my flight is delayed from 10:10 am to 11:20 am.

I didn't get those vibes in fast enough.  Hopefully you won't be delayed any longer.

It's still scheduled for 11:20.  Thanks, DR Jane!

I did something wrong in entering that link.  But it's definitely been in the news, and nothing likely about your particular refund.

Sorry I almost missed that question, Larry.  I'm ketching up much too slowly for my taste.  (If by chance any other questions were asked, tax or otherwise, to me - just PM or email if i missed it.

I think DR RLP should find a summer theatre group to get involved in.....that will bring lots of benefits.

Safe travel vibes for Rob and Mary Linda!

I misread the Chicago info.  That was an option that did NOT develop.  They’re now booked on a direct flight to Cincinnati tomorrow morning.  Rob’s due at work at 7pm tomorrow...

File under “irony:”

The Folger Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC, has cancelled tonight’s performance of A Winter’s Tale due to inclement weather.

This sounds easier.  I hope Rob is resting and catching up on his sleep today.

I borrowed the book, an actual hardcover.  I think it has been several years since I actually read a "real" book.

Picked up one small package, and shortly I shall be on my way to the three o'clock meeting, which I hope won't be more than thirty minutes so I can not run into humongous traffic coming home - unless I drive toward Fairfax and take Nichols Canyon, a possibility and I could grab a bite to eat first.

ASK BK

Are you familiar with the music revue Dawgs that uses the Sherman Bros songs? I think it was done in LA around the time Cats first opened stateside and there was a cast album produced.

Would you consider re-releasing it?

I remember seeing that recording YEARS ago, and for some reason I never bought it.  I don't think I knew that it had songs by the Sherman Brothers!

I sent an email to my goddaughter Emily asking her to read it to Pam if there was the possibility that we would not get a chance to speak on the phone. Emily wrote me this morning.
I was able to read your email to my mom and she reminisced and smiled.  Hospice stepped in to help on Monday and she is sleeping peacefully for the most part.  She is ready.

I remember seeing Disney's animated THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME years ago and not being too impressed with it.

I did not know they had turned it into a stage musical.  However, if they can make money with it "out-of-town," why not?

Years ago, I recall my clients, lyricist Paul Francis Webster and composer Sammy Fain, did something similar with a stage version of CALAMITY JANE, which had won them a "Best Song" Oscar for "Secret Love".  When the show was adapted to the stage, they made a decision NOT to take the play to Broadway.  They were doing great with it in regional and summer stock theaters and, according to Webster, if it had played New York and received bad reviews, that would have killed it.

Later, I believe, it was done as a television special with Carol Burnett.

I never saw the Carol Burnett version.  Just a few months ago, I bought the 1995 first complete studio cast recording of the show.  I love Debbie Shapiro (Gravitte) on it!

Very glad to learn that the Austin bomber is no more. Truly hope that his destruction is also no more.

Vibes to Druxy and John G and all those living in fear as a result of one person's malice.

Ron, thank you for filling us in. I can see you have many adjustments to make. I've known many people who looked forward to retirement and doing nothing, then, after maybe six months or a year, were ready to take on a new chapter.

I think Jrand's suggestion is an excellent one. In fact, I was thinking the same thing last night. I hope you will take on a new endeavor at some point, but only when you're rested and ready.

DR FJL, after I posted this morning, I learned my refund should land next Monday.  Thanks for the link.  I remembered it in the past being sooner than the IRS refund, but I thought this year seemed a longer wait.

I've had a relaxed day today. After all the pain and drama of my first root canal in January, I wanted a couple days with little planned after this one, and that's what I have. I have lots of things to do here, things that need to be done but have no deadline, and which I can do at my leisure. I was able to do some laundry just before the heavy rain started. Then, when it let up a bit, I went out and ran an errand.  Tomorrow will be the same.

The rain here has now stopped. It'll probably resume, but this area is not built for heavy rain and many sections flood easily. We can't handle a lot of rain at a time.
