SECRET LOVE is a wonderful song. The LA Four used to do a very nice version of it.

Hi DR Ron 😊

As we say down here:  "Hey"!

Hey 😊

Are you getting out for walks or any kind of exercise?

Oh, please!  Does walking around WalMart count?

Walking at WalMart counts for a lot of things....including people watching.

Had a "productive" afternoon inasmuch as I bought a new glider.

My mom had an eye appointment in Leesville, which is 19 miles down the road. My aunt came along.  We had lunch at Wendy's and then we went to WalMart where I picked up some fixin's for spaghetti sauce.

Then, we went to the ophthalmologist which is directly across the street from Economy Furniture.  I decided to have a look-see there.  Found some rockers, but they were suited for porches and verandahs, not for bedroom/sitting rooms.  I asked if they had others and told them what I was looking for.

They suggested I look at their gliders. Found JUST the one that will be perfect with my ottoman in my bedroom.  I can set up my reading lamp, too, and read or watch TV in comfort.

Yay!

If I had been home today, I would have had the day off since the government is closed due to the snow.  Since I'm in "leave status" I will still be charged for "annual leave."

Here at the library, if we're on vacation and get sick or the building is closed for some reason (weather, power outage, etc., essentially when the administration decides to close the building for safety reasons), we can change our leave for that day and use our sick leave (which has no cap) or emergency leave.  People were very happy when that policy was changed.

elmore  -  There was a CBS news item on the delay in NYS tax refunds this year.

Hope this link works:

newyork.cbslocal.com/2018/03/08/nys-tax-refunds/

Because your link didn't specifically start with "www" or "http," the board doesn't automatically make the link work.  If you put "url" in brackets around the link, it'll work.  I changed yours above so that it now works. :)

File under “irony:”

The Folger Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, DC, has cancelled tonight’s performance of A Winter’s Tale due to inclement weather.

Impressive and very nice of them to do this.

Crazy day again at work. After one episode my co-team leader and I went to get ice cream to make all right with the world. It was not to be.

Me: There’s no ice cream in the freezer!
Krista: Well, what do you want to do?
Me: Shoot Santa Claus!
Krista: There is no Santa Claus.
Me: And no ice cream. Argh!

Yesterday I returned to my dermatologist for a follow-up visit to take care of 2 biopsies that were not normal (not serious either as they were caught early).  She also did a biopsy on a spot that had been sprayed but did not heal correctly which past experience tells me to be concerned.  If it didn't hurt as well I would have said just spray it again, however, it did hurt so I opted for a biopsy.  Fortunately she got it all out and I don't need to return until July.

Thanks.  I just hope it doesn't hurt anymore and am glad I don't need a separate visit to remove it.  Aside from that, just normal results for me.

Well, I'm outta here.  I'm going to my sister's for a bit.  My niece wants me to mow their lawn, but it might be too wet (he said, hopefully ;) ).  We'll see.

Be back later.

Trying hard tonight to make it through the last half hour of The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter. I don't know if I can do it. It just gets more depressing every few minutes.
