I'm enjoying your tales of your retirement in what I imagine is a sleepy Southern town.

Your glider sounds great. At first I thought you were talking about a drone-like flying thing. But I see I was mistaken, and you've purchased a comfortable reading chair. Yes! Many you spend many comfortable and pleasurable hours in it.

If it were just me, I'd take the train, but my party would prefer the car and less schlepping up and down from Grand Central.  So I still have to figure out where we're parking and hopefully get a good coupon.

I saw my massage therapist, Erik, today about my troublesome right arm, then shopped at my favorite food store. No croissants today, but lots of other favorites.

Evening again.

Another day has passed me by, although it was a shrimp and grits day with caramel cake for dessert.

The place was very busy....the line took forever and we had to sit at a table in the very back of the building.  I sat in a chair and it promptly collapsed backward.  I sat on the floor feeling very undignified.  I got up, repositioned the chair and found out it was simply unfit for human occupancy.  The management was beside itself, but I was unhurt and was given a new sturdy chair.

Oh, my goodness, Ron! :o Did the management comp any of your meal for your undignification and to mitigate a situation that could've physically damaged you??

Druxy, I know the order of release of the two Lang films - were you confused by something I wrote?

They were both released the same year, but I thought WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS was released first.  No big deal either way.

LOL  My first thought was a Sugar Glider.

Tomorrow, back into the city for GRAND HOTEL.

We must arrange to meet.  Actually, it's very simple.  After the show and the talkback, DR vixmom and I, and my housemates, should proceed to the same corridor as last year, on audience right, where we will meet DR Elmore.

I concur

And now, I must be off to the theater.  I'm sure that it'll be a good show.  I'll be back late, and then I need to go to bed very quickly because I'm taking my union's treasury training in Seattle tomorrow and I'll need to leave before 8:00!  I hate that! :P But I'll do it.

Be back later!

While the City Sleeps DID come out first.  I'm trying to understand why you're belaboring that point.  I don't even mention which came out when, merely that Beyond a Reasonable Doubt was his final American film.  While the city Sleeps opened in May of 1956 and Beyond a Reasonable Doubt opened in September of that year.

I took the bay cruise, which I've done before and went to the top of Coit Tower, which I haven't done before.
