Yes, I'm on Medicare AND have a pretty decent (I guess!) supplemental plan.

That's good. I was told $8-9K/eye, but prices vary quite a bit, I think.

We then stopped on the way home for a short walk. Too short but fortunately I walked to the market this morning. If I do a little march around our condo I will reach 20,000 steps.

After our short walk we went to Beaches to eat. The owners of the restaurant do a lot of charity activities. Today 50% of our meal went to the Foundation for Vancouver Public Schools. That 50% included alcohol. Those drinks felt good on our teeth after the cleaning.

I don't like eye exams either. Figuring out which slide I see best with is extremely difficult.

Last week and the week before, one of my staff had cataracts removed from both of his eyes. He HATED having to be awake and see everything coming towards his eyeballs.

I have the beginnings of cataracts, but fortunately they won't need any intervention anytime soon.

I had no idea it would cost that much. We have a vision plan here at work, but I don't (yet) know how much is covered for cataracts. $:-\$

Well, they only do it on special occasions, highlighting a different charity. Sometimes when we have out of town guests we reserve the special charity booth for $10.00. At least we try cuz on a buy summer night it is often booked.

If you come down here for dinner we will go to Beaches.

The first time we went to Beaches our realtor took us for lunch. During the 6 weeks of staying in hotels before moving in to our condo we often went there to eat, usually lunch. Most times we had the same waitress. Since we go early we see her as she is wrapping up her day shift.

Today she showed us the photos of her recent volunteer work at Best Friends Sanctuary. We knew she loved dogs but not that she volunteers at a local shelter or would go to Best Friends.
