John G - We ended up e-conversing very joyfully with the San Antonio film office, and though their programming for the "Viva Max!" movie "Made in San Antonio"screening event next Saturday was already planned with the talk by the documentary director Jim Mendiola about his film "Making Viva Max!" they told us they'll be handing out our musical's demo CDs to anyone who wants one and giving a shout-out to the musical while doing that.

Do you know anyone who's planning to go to the April 7 screening at Hemisfield Park (Sp?).

the early forecast is for an evening in the low 60s or upper 50s, and partly cloudy. Sounds idea for an outdoor movie, if I load up on the allergy meds.

Well, the first 20 minutes of this movie are glacially paced. Gene Hackman in Night Moves compared Eric Rohmer movies to watching paint dry. This is slower than anything Rohmer ever made.

It looks like it's co-presented by the San Antonio Film Commission and Texas Public Radio.  (The emails we've been getting when we've been chatting with them have all ended in dot-gov.)
