Just watched another Lelouch film, this one from 2010.  Like many of his films you sit there and try to keep characters and stories straight and think you never will and then like a sorcerer Lelouch somehow always brings it all together by the end.  And the coda really goes into GEE territory in a tiny way, but the way it's done is a little cliche for me.  But these films (this one was his forty-third) are simply like on one else's - this one is very personal and the young man who plays Lelouch could be his twin when Lelouch was that age.

I have started to watch I, Tonya. As much as I loved Laurie Metcalf in Lady Bird, Allison Janney won that Oscar fair and square in the first 10 minutes. It's not just the shock of what she says or does, it's the utter lack of humanity that's just so perfect.

I would like to see her performance.  This article, to be read after you finish watching, explains why I do not plan to support the film.  If you disagree with the article please let me know.

So at ten o'clock this evening I get an e-mail reminder about an eleven o'clock in the morning meeting for the Richard Sherman celebration I'm directing.  I don't remember it, our MD Richard Allen doesn't remember it, Richard Sherman's son doesn't remember it - so I'm not sure whether we'll go yet - waiting for a call from Richard Allen - because nothing is really going to get decided as I'm just starting to figure out the songs I want done and who will do them.

DS Bryan doesn't talk about work very often  Something that happened on his shift last night fit in with our conversation so we got to hear the details of how he saved a life.  8)

Very scary.   He has seen 3 patients related to the story, this last one was the worst.

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

We are going to Hank's, so I am having pizza.

The pizza on their homepage looks really good!  What kind did you have?

I always order the Fantastic Four.

Ahh.  I don't like olives or mushrooms at all, so that's one that I'll never have.

Great news about Annalene Beechley, Elmore. I just wish I liked that production more.

John, you are the only person I know who saw this production and disliked it.  Is it the production that you didn’t like, or was it just because you don’t like Kellie O’Hara?

The Hank’s pizza leftovers are calling me from the kitchen, but I am trying to be a good boy.

Where's the fun in that?

Fortunately for me, Nick is curled up with me, so I can’t get up and get to the pizza.
