Well, you've read the notes, the notes were good and ugly, and now it is time for you to post until the good and ugly cows come home.

Around 9:30 I will head down to City Center with the last two numbers for Me & My Girl.  My Miami U friend Roy is meeting me this afternoon. We'll visit and go to dinner.  We may see a show.  I have no idea what.

They did a production of THE GRASS HARP in the SFV back in, I believe, the late 1970s, with Susan Watson and Chris Costello.

Great show.

Still have the OBC  CD.

Nothing in particular I must needs do today, but plenty of this and that TO do, so...  who knows what I'll actually do?

Has GEE arrived for everyone in New York?

(If it's not here today, I'll ask if the package people here just forgot to leave a pick-up slip.)

Nothing much in the CD player lately.  Hmm...

UNDERWORLD, U.S.A. is in the Blu-ray player, and it's fantastic but I need to get through it in one sitting.  I've now watched two-thirds of it in two sittings, and that's got to stop.

I finally caved in and read the GEE spoiler stuff on Amazon.  But I've been careful not to spill anything I saw there to Skip.

Our first copy of GEE arrived yesterday, so I'll be hoping to find the other one in the mailbox today.

One thing I've got to get back to is entering some more of my friend's show into Finale.  That serves as my learning project and helps move things along for him, but it fell by the wayside when I started getting busy with shows again after the post-holiday lull.  This means I'm going to have to re-learn some stuff and move on past whatever the last challenge was.  Which, oy!, I just remembered what it is, and that I'd hit a wall with it.  Voices and layers, the implementation and management of which was driving me nuts.

I also have to see what's new in the upgrade I finally (get it?) went for.  Had to bite the bullet and get the current release because the version I'd been using just fine on Windows doesn't run well on the Sierra OS on the Mac, and they've made it abundantly clear that they aren't going to support that any more so you pretty much have to upgrade on the Mac and I wanted to be consistent on both platforms.  Actually, that can be today's project -- bringing the MacBook up to the desk and installing that.

Now wasn't that fascinating??

Controversy Warning, since I know my thoughts on any irony of Wahlberg (an unapologetic physically violent person into his early 20's) getting a million bucks to wipe out Spacey's performance  from a film seems to have no agreement here:

I guess I should say I don't think it's an outrage of any kind about the Wahlberg - Spacey thing, just a real irony.  I know Rapp (Spacey's target and victim) was only 14 when the Spacey thing happened to him, or really the moves were made and I guess the legal line not crossed),  but I think with sadness of all the people over the years who would have been spared being Spacey's targets, and spared Spacey the total ruin that happened (the way Broadway's James Barbour did a little time and now gets big jobs again), had Rapp just said something when he was already really famous in New York at least in his 20's.  Rapp seemed to have held the info in until the moment that would (and of course did) bring the maximum ruination to Spacey.  (Rapp was already pretty well-known and prominent at least in New York, and people were really paying attention to what he said and did, by 1996 when RENT hit Broadway.)

:)  Unless Bk says not to, I plan to keep tackling the issues here on HHW until this site gets the Pulitzer Prize consideration it deserves.  :)

I guess my problem is I don’t care about Wahlberg enough.

I have had a Jerry Herman earworm eating away at my brain since Wednesday. Here’s Ethel Merman, a diva I somehow failed to mention yesterday, singing World, Take Me Back, a song that says essentially the same thing as Before the Parade Passes By.

But good luck on that Pulitzer, Fred.
