I use two spaces in any writing I do.  But Grant changes them all to one for the actual book.

Funny :)

And good for Grant. Two spaces drives me crazy, and it drives anybody who sets type crazy, too, because it throws everything off, especially at the end of lines.

There's a new King Lear coming up that sounds wonderful with Anthony Hopkins, Emma Thompson, Emily Watson and Jim Broadbent.

Well, I've been here at work for far too long today, so I'm finally heading out.

Until later!

How can it be Friday when it has seemed like Saturday all day long?

At least it will be Saturday in less than one hour.  There is THAT.

I was delighted to awaken to see the announcement of "The Grass Harp".  Love me some "Grass Harp", I do.

Ah, well.  The Friday-that-seemed-like-Saturday is nearly done.  I am ready for bed.

TOD:  Bruce Smeaton's "Iceman".  Simply gorgeous score.

It was a Monday all day for me, for no good reason.  Maybe because of how I was out most of the last two days, but....

I know why!  Because it snowed!   :)

I recall once we had company and we all were talking making demos at home, and Skip said "My amp died yesterday" and a friend said "I'm so sorry, Skip, you could have cancelled on us tonight."  We all looked at the friend strangely.  Turned out the friend thought Skip had said "My aunt died."

Fortunately for the friend you got that straitened out.  Since my hearing issues I hear strange things like that all the time.

I recall at BMI workshop someone sang a song called "I Never Knew What Hit Me" and one of the people thought they kept hearing the title as "I never knew a hippie."

Was it a musical version of Flat Broke with Two Goats? I've only just started the book and already I'm tired of the spousal abuse. With all of the garbage at work (which seems to get worse daily), I just need to be around nicer people at the moment.

I suspected I did not want to read this.

I am home from Hello Dolly!  It was one of the few good revivals I've seen in the past 40 years. And to bed.

Wow. And you haven't cared for Bernadette in recent years. How was she?

Wow, does it bother you every time you read a post with two spaces?

Not a post. Not texts, emails, letters, anything like that. But people do it at work and removing them is extra work on top of everything else. And they're not consistent in their use. So, it's often a guessing game. But it does mess things up if the extra space is not removed.

Work related is very exciting understandable.   Not so much is why anyone would be bothered by the manager of our complex double spacing ;D

It was titled Metastasis and it's part of a series of experimental films from a Japanese director called Toshio Matsumoto.

I have a co-worker that for just about EVERY e-book that she buys, she (when she's able) strips the DRM from the e-book (both epub and Kindle) so that she can reformat them the way that SHE wants them.  Evidently, Kindle e-books can have either too much or too little space in between paragraphs, or some are formatted where she can't make changes through her device, things like that.  I know she reads a lot of e-books, but to automatically do that for practically every one is (to me) kind of ridiculous.  Just read the darned book, is what I say...but not to her, of course. ;)

Back from a rather horrid production of Deathtrap - won't say much in the notes, but you know what you're in for when the big scenes are scored with music by Bernard Herrmann (as is the between scene music) - when you have to resort to that you are not trusting the play or your direction and the fact is it's so off-putting and distracting it has the opposite effect from what is desired.
