Oh, and DR elmore you seem to be surprised that Annabelle loves to knock things over ;)

I'm not surprised by that.  I'm surprised that this has begun in the past months, just as her bookcase climbing ended several months ago.

The resident knocker-offer here almost exclusively goes into that mode when meal time comes around.  It’s clearly an acting out thing which he’d learned before we adopted him.

And except for one incident I can recall from his earliest weeks with us, this behavior is ONLY summoned up when we’re home to react.  We have never come back from an extended absence, however long past a meal time it is, to find things amiss.

Brian Bedford was in a movie called The Pad and How to Use It based on a one act play by Peter Shaffer called The Private Ear.
The play is very good - the movie kind of messed it up, but Brian Bedford was GREAT and he became one of my favorite actors after I saw it.....

I like the idea of a safety check, just thought though he might have mentioned it-lol  Of course you would still have the kittens. :)

Why? I know and they know that cats climb.  The refrigerator is Annabelle's new Mt Everest.  I will keep spraying her with water until she realizes she should go climb a bookcase.

When possible I just moved things to a safer place or put them away.  You have to have space to move things.  She does seem to like high places and, in my experience, all the spraying in the world didn't stop them from jumping when I wasn't home ;D

I would know that she's been on top of the refrigerator when I'm not home by the objects on the floor in front of it when I returned.  So far, it only happens when I'm home.

Interesting she only does it when you are home.

Former DR Jose and I saw Brian Bedford as Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest.  I went in hating the idea of the role being a drag role, but Bedford sold me completely as a formidable battle axe.

I liked the movie and he was great in it.  Keith and I worked at the Bruin Theater in Westwood when the movie played.  I can't even count how often I saw it while ushering.

The Vixter and I saw that production as well (very possibly on your recommendation) we loved it

I tried to get out early for a walk today.  By the time I finally left, within 5 minutes it began to rain.  Half an hour later my pants were completely soaked.  Fortunately I had thrown on my new rain/wind jacket.  If only I had worn my rain pants.

I have an Edith Wharton novella to keep me occupied. Something called Bunner Sisters.

I haven't read anything by her yet.  Is it good?

She’s one of my favorites and this one was very good, albeit different. Definitely not a tale of society.

It’s freezing. The wind is blowing. and there are only a handful of stalwarts here for the movie. But we’re here, Fred. I even held off on dessert to make it here. Did I say it was cold?

Insert semi-frozen face here.
