Nice photo of Nicky last night!

I am getting ready for Round Two of ANNIE Auditions this afternoon.

It is amazing how many people ignore a sign telling them where the auditions are and come in the wrong door, wander around the theater, and then they complain that they can't find us......about HALF the people.  So I think I will LOCK that door today and make another sign with an ARROW!

There were TWO signs saying where to go....well not THERE - and BIG sawhorse type sign that said AUDITIONS HERE....by the correct door....

I don't know why, but that reminded me of those (maybe joke) announcements on meeting places, like:

"Weight Watchers meeting in the recreation room.  Use the double doors to your left."

DR JANE I don't know anyone else who even remembers the movie.  I had to look it up to see who played the "other guy" - James Farentino. I thought Julie Sommers was very good....she's the reason I started watching THE GOVERNOR AND JJ....

My easy morning turned into one from hell.  I had to clean the vacuum, and I will never again purchase one with no vacuum bag.  Anyway, I ended up with crap and schmutz all over myself and the kitchen floor.  I ended up vacuuming, mopping the floors, and throwing all the clothes I was wearing into the laundry hamper.  Tomorrow, laundry.

I haven't see Rex this morning. He is probably in with Sandra. I don't think he is going to pull through this.

Looks like Crayola got adopted, DR Laura.

I saw on Facebook that there was a cat adoption at the 82nd Street Barnes & Noble. so i walked over for a look.  I was ready to bring a 4-month old brown and white tabby or a little black and white tuxedo home with me, but I resisted the impulse.  The little tuxedo wouldn't stop crying,  It, the little tabby, and an older cat twice the size of Annabelle, wanted human contact so badly.  They were so friendly.

I hope they're all adopted today.

They will get adopted, Elmore. You can't take them all.

I miss having a cat, but my dog would not tolerate one.

Sunday evening greetings!  Fr. Richard was substitute priest in Dayton today, so Rob and Mary Linda went to church with us.  I’ve taken it easy all afternoon, including a long nap in my recliner.

This past week was very social for me - a family dinner last Sunday, ladies’ gatherings on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, church last Sunday and today, and lunch Friday with a former co-worker.  I love my family and friends, but have enjoyed the quiet time today.

I was at church before 8, set up the altar, then made 6 pots of coffee, set up coffee hour, poured 24 cups of juice, made up 24 cups of pretzels, cut up 5 cakes, 24 mini bagels, and artfully (well not so much maybe) arranged the contents of 2 boxes of Girl Scout cookies on a platform

As I slid into the front pew next to my Mom at 8:59 as the first chords of theopen hymn were playing she whispered , "it's about time you got here , I started to think you weren't coming to church today "

After church, I spoke to Mom. Dad has been sleeping most of the time lately and isn't interested in doing much. They got another inch of snow yesterday, but it thankfully has melted. Still, she seems content not to go anywhere.

Then I managed to get some work done on the back yard while I put a load of laundry in.

Then I cleaned up and reset coffee hour for the after 10:30 crowd and was spelled by one of the ladies from the Misa crowd, Josefina.    For the past 2 years She has very kindly taken over the cleaning up of the kitchen after the last service allowing me to get home hours earlier than I used to

I planted several herbs, some in the ground, some in larger pots. These were plants someone gave me for free and there are things in there I've never tried before. Two loofahs, one lavender, one rosemary, one spearmint, one oregano and one thyme. There's one parsley left. I need to get a pot for it.

Then I reset halter for the 11:45 Misa and cleared up the baptismal font area and went to an assisting minister  meeting
