It's been cold in Austin the past few days.

My wife put the heat on this morning, which is unusual for her.

Currently, I'm reading Maureen O'Hara's autobiography, 'TIS HERSELF.

It's one of the best show biz autobiographies I've read in one time.

Wow, and interesting.

I'm starting to watch a miniseries based on The Dain Curse with James Coburn and a huge all-star cast. I missed this when it aired way back when and am glad to get the chance to see it. I have read the Hammett novel, though it was so long ago that I don't remember much about it and wouldn't know how faithful it is.

Is that the one where she claimed she happened upon John Wayne and John Ford kissing?

Yesterday when Vixdad and I went to IHOP I ordered their new King Hawaiian rolls French toast sandwich , with ham, Swiss cheese and ligonberries .  It was supposed to have scrambled eggs as well but instead  I had eggs over easy on the side

After church, I spoke to Mom. Dad has been sleeping most of the time lately and isn't interested in doing much. They got another inch of snow yesterday, but it thankfully has melted. Still, she seems content not to go anywhere.

Vibes and prayers for your family, John

I haven't see Rex this morning. He is probably in with Sandra. I don't think he is going to pull through this.

I am sorry.  I thought he was doing better. :(

DR JANE I don't know anyone else who even remembers the movie.  I had to look it up to see who played the "other guy" - James Farentino. I thought Julie Sommers was very good....she's the reason I started watching THE GOVERNOR AND JJ....

Keith also remembers it well :)

She is also the reason I watched THE GOVERNOR AND JJ.  I enjoyed the MATLOCK episodes when she was in them.

We had exactly enough chairs for everyone.....until four people from yesterday decided they just HAD to come back today.....I found a bench for them to sit on.....

Most of the ugly little girls decided to come today....there were some good adults....and we finished only 10 minutes late!

Director Caroline asked me if I wanted to stay to help them cast the show, but I said.....no thank you!  My cousin's two grand daughters came today.....they both read VERY well....and one of them sang very well....I'm sure the dancing was no problem.

I think I will be playing Sgt. Ward and Franklin D. Roosevelt.  I locked the door in case DR TCB was trying to get in the building.

LOL DR JANE - that's three of us then.

I didn't watch MATLOCK although I saw an episode now and then and would remember how much I liked Julie....some performers just have something that draws me to them.....she is one of them....

Had a very productive and good lunch meeting - two hours of it.  But I gave all my thoughts about what I felt wasn't working for me and by the end of it we'd figured out all of the main ones that should really now help focus this and get us both on the same page.

I came home, did some work, then went to Ralph's for a couple of light, calorie-friendly snacks for this night.

It is a special altar guild secret and I cannot tell you unless you first wash and iron several dozen linen purificators
