DR Elmore:  Yesterday on Facebook someone bumped a thread that was a couple of years old about musical copyists for shows. I never would have known it was there, and I was entranced, reading every word and poring over every example. If no one has yet put up a "museum" of sorts for this, that still needs to be done.

I posted on that thread.  If I had a scanner, I could have posted examples of the copyists I recognized.

The salad dressing talk reminds me that I wanted to do a Piaf shtick called "Vinaigrette Rien" once I found out Jan Horvath did a glorious Piaf.    (But when the "La Vie En Rose" YouTube got - to us - disappointing views, we did something else.)

I've got the scanner. I should capture a couple of pages each of whatever I have here and see what it amounts to...

This morning I held Annabelle up to the bathroom mirror to see her reflection for the first time.  Her reaction was quite wonderful.

Oh, that's nice. None of my cats ever showed any real reaction to their reflection.

She seemed quite puzzled at first, then she kept stretching out her paw to touch the reflection.  I wish I knew if she thought it was another cat.

I wonder if DR John G.'s bird goes for his reflection. In my experience, parakeets and parrots can become practically addicted to them.

JB loves his reflection, in mirrors, in windows, in wine glasses.

Has anyone read Improvement by Joan Silber? It just won the PEN/Faulkner.

Unfortunately DR Jennifer this happens far too often.  Last year our friend had her car totaled when a speeding car ran a light.  She had plenty of witnesses stop to help, and watch as the driver ran away on foot.   A few minutes later he returned and our friend thought he was getting his insurance info from the car.  Nope, just grabbing his drugs before running away again.

Is anyone familiar with Rowan University's medical school in New Jersey?

That's where my nephew goes (the son of my brother and his wife Lady Macbeth, but my nephew is a really good person), and I'm having no luck finding out its rankings among medical schools.

(I found the Rowan college's rankings, which look pretty good among New Jersey schools, but not the medical school.)

Oh, that's nice. None of my cats ever showed any real reaction to their reflection.

We rescued an older kitten that spent so much time staring at herself in the mirror we were tempted to name her Narcissus.  Aside from the fact our cat was a female, that was a mouthful to say every time we wanted to call her.  Good thing too since she outgrew the desire to constantly look  at herself.

I've patrolled the halls with Annabelle, had some breakfast, and given the babies a treat of sliced turkey.  I now have a pile of DVDs they knocked over to pick up and a pile of books and magazines to get off the floor by my bed.

Thatch is now browsing one of the the CD cases.  I guess he and Annabelle want some music.

DR FJL, I don't recall exploring the school during Bryan's search.  It has been awhile.   One thing we learned to look for along with ratings was how well the students were matched for their residency.

DR JEANNE Mars has indeed been in retrograde for quite some time...this will end early Monday morning....so much of the malaise and technical problems and money indecision will also end.

It will make the smaller annoyances easier to endure.

It looks like I'll be in Redmond WA June 12-14.  That way, I'll be able to see the Thurs. June 14th pay-as-you-can preview (I think that's what they call it) of Last Starfighter, and get to hang out for the last two nights of tech, which should be exciting.
