I just heard from my Birding Buddy's husband. She was in surgery for over three hours, but she came through ok. I will hear all about it at some point. They removed lots of stuff -- none of it tested positive for cancer.

That's great, Laura!

Thanks, John G!

You made the past year a lot better by your reporting from the San Antonio event, and your book advice.  Thanks for that, too.

Thanks, Laura!  The cake is in the kitchen!

I haven’t seen it yet, but it’ll be great. How can cake not be great?

Thanks, Jeanne.  The day was a bit tough. I was waiting until about 5  to hear from my mom, who was in a local medical center by their home, since last night.  It wasn’t a big deal, she now says, but with her being almost 90 (in July), it’s scary until you actually talk to the person.

Mom, after all, worked a lot harder than I did, back on the day i was born.

So why shouldn't this day be mostly about her?

I'm wondering if she'd known about the blood sugar being a concern. But she seems pretty good, and upbeat, for 89.  (My dad seems like a miracle for 97, last time I was there in November.  They must be great for each other.)

I went to Penny's and found the scented infusion oil I purchased in November.  I didn't save the bottle and couldn't remember what it was.  Fortunately there was one left and I now have a bottle of Island Coconut.  I also bought a cute head band on sale.

I found a vest I have had my eye on at Macy's and the price had come down.

Both stores scanned extra coupons for me making my purchases even better.

I then went to See's Candy (my main reason for going to the mall) and used my $5.00 off coupon.

Congrats, Jane!  Love those kinds of deals!

And now, I'm off to rehearsal.  I assume that we're running the show, but I'll find out soon enough. :)

Be back later.

Had some more wonderful food tonight for dinner. I don’t know what I’m making up for, but I am enjoying this.

Today was quite productive in fact so productive they I ditched my plan of arriving at work at 7:30 am and leaving at 10 am for my 10:45 appointment in favor of not going into the office until after my cardiologist appointment

And on a sad note, I just read that Sir Roger Moore, James Bond actor, dies aged 89. :(

Yes, it was sad a year ago when he actually died.  What is this, Facebook all of a sudden, where people die many deaths? :)
