I've decided to stay home this afternoon.  My stomach isn't sitting well, and for the past couple of days my left leg doesn't want to support me.  I'll try to catch the matinee on Saturday.

For the first time in six months I opened the linen closet door on a permanent basis.  I had closed it when Thatch came to live here because he was so small I feared if he got lost or stuck inside it we might never find him again.  Now that he's nine months old and the size of Annabelle when she arrived last September, I think we'll be okay.  Annabelle used to hide there and climb onto one of the shelves of sheets and towels to sleep.

It's funny watching him investigate all these new scents, nooks and crannies.

And shedding hair on your towels & sheets now that they are older ;)

The earthquake thing is some device that, in the case of an earthquake, shuts down the gas.

Did the earthquake in Cabazon this morning shut it off?

Doesn't bother me in the least.  It's their home, too.

I am full of LONG stories lately...but:

My surgeon's nurse called yesterday to see if I had scheduled my colonostomy.....it's been one year today since my surgery.  I told her I tried but I keep leaving messages and they don't call back.  She told me Dr. Tsai would do it....but I told her I would.

I called the center....got a PERSON....and set it up for June 25.  She said she would send a prescription for the pre stuff and to get an enema.  I told her I couldn't have an enema....there is no....uh....place left to have one.

She argued with me...then said she would talk to the doctor.  An hour later the doctor's nurse called and asked me all kinds of questions about my....uh....place.  She asked me if I had put a finger there....and I said no....there's no there there.

She said she would talk to Dr. Buckley....called me back this morning....no enema.  I told I was glad she got to the bottom of it.

While laughing at your sense of humor, this is ridiculous and should be related to your doctor.  Enema for a colonoscopy after the regular prep-huh?

I am curious about the prep they do give you.  I am now 6 months behind schedule cuz I just can't face the prep again.  Some doctors do a fairly easy one vs the tons of liquid I am required to drink.  I saw a new doctor here and she expected me to drink even more, impossible.

This new prep, which should be out later this year, is in the news today.

Thanks for the article DR JANE.  I won't know exactly what mine is until I pick it up....I hope it's NOT the gallon jug of stuff.

If it's really available in the third quarter - I will miss it by 5 days.  :P

Okay, I think we had that, too.

Thankfully, we don't get earthquakes in Austin.

To the great relief of Robin, Chris, Carol, Katie, Nita, and myself, today's luncheon menu was very different from this evening's dinner menu.  And, having written the check to pay for the luncheon, my year as treasurer of Current Events Club is now over.  I'll be very glad to turn this responsibility over to Anne this summer.

I am sure you will have other opportunities for it.  I couldn't find any reactions from people that have taken it.  It may be less liquid but it doesn't mean I can get it all down or keep it down.

I will also be playing Major Metcalfe in the July production of THE MOUSETRAP which will be fun....and yes the woman auditioning who also thought she was a director has been cast....

This could be amusing or annoying....time will tell.

Congrats, Jrand!  And...

Oh no, I think I am in trouble :)

I still have the old one if I want it.  My nails must were off the letters on a few of the keys cuz I seem to miss them after awhile.  Keith thinks this is a problem but I rarely look at the keys when I am typing.  Mostly I look to put in passwords.
