I just spoke to Randy and Jo, who is through her surgery. They tell me the surgeon seems confident that all is well, and now they wait for the pathology report.

Last weekend I tried a new eatery, the Carving Board. I'd dismissed it at first, thinking it was a meat-laden smorgasbord, but I'd misjudged it. It's a sandwich shop. My veggie sandwich was very good. Not cheap, but really tasty.

BK, I see that it's a chain. Have you tried it? There's one in Burbank and another in Tarzana.
