DR JRand, since my eye surgery I am constantly putting glasses on and taking them off, so, yes, that could be my new avatar!

DR DRUXY when I did THE CRUCIBLE in 2012 with David Cryer - Jon Cryer's dad - and Britt Swanson Cryer.....they had stories about Mr. Bolger.

They met doing COME SEPTEMBER on the road and then bringing it to Broadway.  Britt said they got wonderful reviews on the road.  Audiences loved the show and Ray.  Then they got to NYC, and the show was ravaged by the critics.

Britt said Ray was a gentleman and very easy to work with.  If he didn't like something or someone - he would make his WIFE complain about it....so everyone hated her - but loved him.....

I remember readingl that when Neil Simon was upset with Mary Tyler Moore during a run of his play, his wife Elaine Joyce went to tell Mary.

Or did she bring Mary a note from him?

In honor of Irving Berlin's birthday, Leontyne Price sings his magnificent setting of Emma Lazarus' Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor:

I enjoy the BROKENWOOD MYSTERIES, too. I wish the seasons were longer.

I'm watching one about a murder that includes beekeeping. Pam and Cecil would love that. It's great.

TOD

Car CD: Jo Nesbo’s MacBeth. (Not to be confused with the Scottish play)

Are you enjoying it?  I am not sure I want to read it.

Yes and no. I'm on disc 3 of 14. It's a little overwritten and hyperviolent. And I've only gotten to the first appearance of the three witches or whatever they are. But I'm glued to it.

Decided to do the liner notes for the soundtrack release.  So those are out of the way.

I watched LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER’S Andrew Rannells in concert.  I loved it.  He was terrific.  He sang “Your Fault” from INTO THE WOODS, singing all the parts himself.  Very funny.

And now, I'm off to the theater!  I'm sure we'll have a good show.  Thanks again for all the opening night vibes!

Be back later!

Well, we had a great show tonight!

DR TCB doesn't know his APT from his OFT.

I guess I don’t understand this one.

I recorded it.  I'll have to watch it sometime soon because my DVR is almost full! :o

We are leaving at 4:00, and the concert is at seven, but we hope to eat before the show.
