DR George our Costcos do not sell hamburgers. We have hotdogs, pizzas, salads, chicken fingers and I think sometimes they add a thing or two that is different.  I love that the hotdogs come with drinks. That is the best part. And the price!

Ours don't either. Well, I don't think they do. I haven't been to Costco in a month.

I will be taking my Costco card to Maui with me. Great stuff there, from just fished seafood (they tell you the hour it was drawn from the ocean) to some mainland treats at mainland prices.

I had a house made veggie burger and a cup of clam chowder.  While the chowder was good I was too full to eat much of it.  The quinoa burger with avocado, tomatoes, lettuce, and caramelized onions I swapped out for mozzarella cheese was great.  I also saved chipolte sauce to spread on the burger and was glad I did.

Our appetizer was avocado fries.  Slices of avacado with a light quinoa crust, fried and served with chipolte sauce.

It was a real treat.

I'll take some of those.

Met my old wine group tonight for Chinese food. Steamed flounder in ginger was not as good as it has been in the past. But the snow pea shoots with garlic was wonderful.

Some of the other dishes sampled that were really were a salt-and-pepper fish (essentially fried fish) and a beef stir-fry over wide rice noodles.

When we were there I purchased a large jar Island Princess Mel Mac's which are the best chocolate covered macadamia nuts.

Many of the shops, at the time, sold smaller sizes of their products.

Watching Reefer Madness the Musical. I'm halfway through and not liking it. But there is some decent dancing. Neve Campbell does a fine tango. And, well, that's about it. The big number with Jesus dancing down from the cross didn't cut it.

I was in a local production and it was a lot of fun...at times a little too much fun, but sometimes you just gotta go with the flow.

And now, I need to get some gas.  I was at Costco yesterday, but didn't think about getting any gas.  Today, I really should since I won't have any time until Sunday evening, and I'll probably NEED gas before Sunday evening.

Be back later.

I made roasted Brussels sprouts the other day , cleaned and halved them then tossed with a little olive oil, and some Penzeys FoxPoint seasoning and roasted at 350 , I also roasted some parsnips sliced into medallions , tossed with olive oil and some Penzeys Sunny Paris seasoning, and also some sliced eggplant seasoned with granulated garlic and Italian Seasoning.
