I do love the ANNIE score....it's so much fun.

And I have a new wig....so life can go on.....

DR TCB - my NEW Nez Perce glasses came in the mail today...SO my Franklin will be the talk of the town...

DR FJL & DR CHAS SMITH - yes indeed I hope to have all the Tony voters in Thursday and Friday for a big write-in vote for Sunday.

Fingers crossed.

What's your band for ANNIE?

I believe we'll have nine or ten.

I looked at the e-readers and didn't find them an easier to read, interesting.  Maybe it is because of the night/black backlight I find easier to look at.

ASK BK

Can you choose your favorite vocal CD you've produced over the years and explain your choices for the sequencing of the songs?

I have several favorites, and I don't know that I've ever revealed how I sequence an album - I'll have to look in Album Produced By and see.

I'm up - doorbell rang at eight - tree people needing access.  Moved my car and since then they've done nothing.  I'm not even sure they're here - the machines are so maybe they bring those and do it another day.  I went back to bed but I don't think I got over six hours of sleep.

DR CHAS....it's not really a band.....we have piano, keyboard, percussion, two trumpets, and a bass guitar!

Then that's your band. It's whatever you've got. You could do worse.

I believe the original pit was only 13-14 players. Only one violin and one cello, for instance (?). Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I got that from one of the people who conducted it later in the run.

The production I'm playing in could probably have had it all, and I don't know why they aren't going for it. Small venue, but they've handled that and more any number of times. We all know this show sells tickets, and more tickets pay for more musicians. Or should!

It should yes.....those trumpets really add to the show....and our percussionist is very creative....

I am doing the curtain speech with 9 year old newsboy Bryson....and we end with a golf swing accompanied by the Johnny Carson-Doc Severinson percussion bit.....

Nice jazzy notes.

I wonder what show I am thinking of DR GEORGE....you were in some mystery musical.....hmmmm....maybe I dreamed it.

About five years ago, I was in a murder mystery play, Hollywood Whodunit, but it wasn't a musical.

I have a kindle not a kindle fire. To me a kindle fire is a tablet and not an e-reader. Although you can read kindle books. It's just not the same on your eyes as you are reading on a tablet.

Have you ever tried reading e-books on an e-reader?  I am always amazed when avid readers say that they prefer real books. To me the kindle is the greatest invention. It is so convenient and so much easier than reading an actual physical book. You can adjust the type size. It is so much lighter. You can carry it around everywhere. You can get books immediately. I never thought that I would love e-books. But honestly I would be fine never reading a physical book again.

Ditto to everything you just posted!  Although, I will still purchase certain physical books, like all of BK's and other assorted special books!

Back from a fun lunch at Tony's Bella Vista - I was bad and had the fettuccine tre p - which is a cream sauce, but it was only about four ounces of pasta so hopefully not too much damage.  Changed direction for the Kritzerland show, so now I'm choosing songs for that.

DR Jennifer,
There's no question that e-readers have several major advantages over real books. My preference began with my love of books and reading; I didn't want any changes to that experience. But there's now another issue: my wonky eyes. I've been having a lot of trouble with my eyes since the surgery and online reading, which I do much of the day, doesn't help. I have trouble reading paper books, too, but it's somehow a different visual experience. No question that there's an e-reader in my future. Right now my main concern is a good back-up to my Macbook. I do take your points, though.

I saw Richard for a haircut and had an interesting discussion about politics at the same time, then did some grocery shopping.

I was forced to switch because of my shoulder, however, prior to that it was getting more difficult to see the print on some of the books.  I don't know why it is so darn small and light.

There are lots of HOA rules here and making certain changes, especially outside our units, need approval.  Messing with public areas is definitely not permitted.  When we first moved in and put our bronze statue of a girl and her dog on the planter wall next to us all it took was one person to complain and we had to move it.  EVERYONE else loved her there and was sorry to see her go.

The planter next to our door was by far the ugliest planter in all 7 buildings.  Most of the planters are under open skylights.  Ours is covered as are a few others.  These were "planted" in dirt with nice looking artificial plants, all except ours.  Our planter was a pile of broken rocks with a few nice larger rocks mixed in and tired looking artificial inserts of plants.

Keith & I went on a search for new plants and found them at several different stores.  We also purchased dirt.  Last night we walked down to the beach and found a nice hunk of textured bark from a tree.

Today Keith finished the new planter and it looks better than the live planter next to us.  Our next door neighbor is thrilled as is our neighbor above us.
