The Washington Post critic, Peter Marks, was awfully hard on How to Succeed ..., which he called a "tired musical whose sexist humor is a little tired, too." Ouch.

Friday afternoon greetings!  I worked a 4-hour shift at the garage sale today, came home for lunch and a short nap, and have now dolled myself up to accompany Richard to dinner at Miami University in Oxford, OH.  The occasion?  The 50th anniversary of his graduation from college.

I graduated in August 1968.

The celebration was lovely and I have some things for you - watch your mail!

Very nice planter Jane, I like the bench and girl statue as well

Thank you.  I don't think the photo does it justice.  You can imagine what a delight it is for us not to have a rock pile out there.  We really think the HOA should have done this.  The upside of spending our own money is that we could buy what we liked and Keith could design it.

But the irritable woman didn't complain about the rock pile?

Well, she knew it needed fixing.  The point is following the rules.  At one point she did tell us we could try and do something with it but we would have to pay for it.   I guess she figured she had the authority to give us permission she she is on the landscaping committee.  I just hope she remembers telling us that.

The current head of the committee lives above us and secretly knew what we were doing.  She thinks it looks great and enjoys the view now looking down.

Yes, if it's a common area, the HOA should have taken care of it.

Yes but there are so many demanding people with different opinions of what they want.  In this case having the worst planter in the entire complex should have mattered, in our opinion but not others.

I had a lovely e-mail from D.C. Fontana, she the writer of many Star Trek episodes - she just finished GEE are really liked it and was making suggestions for a movie adaptation and how she'd approach it.

Vibes this happens!

DR Georvge what brand of vegan baloney do you like?  I haven't had that in years.

I got Yves Veggie Bologna.  I'd never had the deli "slices" before, but I thought I'd give them a try.  Those are made by Tofurky

Yes, I have had the brand.  As for Tofurky  :P  ;D

I think my niece doesn't care for Tofurky, either, but I put enough other stuff on my sandwich that I couldn't distinguish the specific flavors of the "slices" and I enjoyed it.

Perhaps you should try wallpaper paste.  I think it has more flavor than Tofurky.

I just spoke to Randy.  The surgeons believe that they removed all of Jo's cancer, and I of course credit the HHW vibes for that.  She's now seeing an oncologist but things look good.

Great news about Jo!

Isn't the actress playing Annie always equipped with treats when acting with Sandy, or is that just during the act 1 scene with the cop when Sandy answers to his name?

Annie might want to consider “treats” for her scenes with Jack.😉
