They just make the shit up, don’t they.

And the masses who watch this stuff eat it right out of their hands.

I don’t think I ever listened to the Modern Jazz Quartet. And I never knew about their Swingle Singers collaboration. Just browsed some of their album covers on eBay. Nice stuff.

BK, did you ever listen to the Porgy and Bess album?

I hate all the HOUSEWIVES shows....and I've only seen parts of a few episodes....but if you watch anything on Bravo, you are bombarded with the promos....

As DR CHAS SMITH said....their fans love it.  I hate that kind of reality show that makes "celebrities" out of idiots....Jersey Shore, the Kardashians, and all of that kind.....

ANNIE est mort!  And now on to The Mousetrap!  There were lots of hugs and tears from the orphans last night who just wanted it to go on forever.....for a moment there I thought it would....

Here is a photo of the moment of our final curtain call just before the lights at last went out on ANNIE.....I am on SR next to Grace who is wearing green -  with mini me standing in front of me...

I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of needed sleep.  A bit dry and congested, but hopefully that will go away soon.

ChasSmith, if you're talking about the Modern Jazz Quartet's take on Porgy and Bess, yes, listened to it yesterday - it's my favorite cover of that score - just beautifully done.

Well, the Kathy Griffin show last night was fantastic.  It was just Kathy on stage for almost three hours in a non-stop story telling extravaganza!  No opening act, no intermission, just her standing at a microphone with a cup of water and an extra bottle of water on a stool next to her, talking.

She mainly talked about "the picture" and what happened to her, and she made it all very funny and scary at the same time.  She also had some stories that weren't directly related to her main topic, but it was all fun and I'm glad I went!

And here's one of her pre-show slide projections:

Now, I need to get ready to leave and go back to my parents' house.  Part of my mom's birthday present was helping her cut back some overgrown plantlife in her back yard a couple of weeks ago.  The other part is to mow their lawns (it's in three separate sections).  It shouldn't take too long, but it's going to be warm today.

Be back later!

And as if the universe hasn’t sufficiently had its way with me recently, I turned the AC on this afternoon to find all the components seemingly running but not producing cold air.

Good luck for a quick A/C fix.  Since we have company arriving very soon Keith turned ours on and it is blowing too cold on me at my desk.
