Finished with my viewing and am listening to more music and then more music.  Yes, I went out to the garage and brought in another thirty CDs.  So far so good, I must say.  But there are things I know I have that I am not finding.  I moved all the SACD things I found to a shelf but it's only about half of them I'd say and I've got to find the other half.  Most of the boxes that are left are soundtracks, otherwise I think I've been through all the jazz CDs, but maybe not.  All the B'way CDs are on shelves, but not in order.  And the stuff I'm bringing in the house so far has found places to stay in the house, but out of sight.  I can probably get 200 more in cupboards that just sit empty.  That's really a good thing.

I'm remembering very few dreams these days, but last night was a curious one.  I was in a hospital, waiting on my doctor to perform surgery on my lower back.  The hospital was packed, so the surgery was to be done on a helicopter flying at a level of 300 feet.  The surgeon was the child psychologist I saw between 1959-1962, and hundreds of yellow tulips sprang up from the the ground under the air space where the surgery was performed.

I have no idea if the surgery was successful.

Interesting!  What does that all mean?? :-\

Today, I first went to my sister's to put together the benches that go with the picnic table that I put together a couple of weeks ago.  They were pretty easy but it just took over an hour to put both of them together.

Then, I went to the WCPA to usher for the Debbie's Dance end of the year showcase.

I call Debbie's Dance the sexy dance school...and as a dance school for children, that's not a good thing.

Their choreography tends to have a lot of sexy poses and moves, even for the fairly young students.  Not the youngest (fortunately), but the early teens.  One of the dances was to Karen Ziemba's version of I Wanna Be a Rockette (they must've gotten it from the "My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies" DVD).*

*Post adjusted.  I just watched Karen Ziemba's version but it different than what the Debbie's Dance girls performed to.  At the time, I thought she sounded like Karen Ziemba, but now I don't know who sang it.  I do know that it wasn't Debbie Shapiro Gravitte. ::)

Whoever choreographed the song had no clew as to how the Rockettes dance because the tweenage girls in this number had moments where they were posing in sexy ways, and they did jumps that the Rockettes never do, and a few gymnastic moves that aren't even real dancing.  This was the only number I went in to watch because I love the song and wanted to know which version they used, but it continued their tradition of age-inappropriate choreography. :P

I stood the whole time because I was outside at the main lobby door into the orchestra level and kept people from entering during songs as much as I could.  There were people coming and going in between EVERY song! :o

Now, I know that some of the parents had multiple kids in different numbers or had to help with costume stuff, but dammit, even in between numbers it's pretty darned distracting. :P

George, ushers get to sit, except the two by the stage. I could have left the theater during the movie to sit down outside. But I chose to watch the movie.

So it’s my fault/choice.

That's good to know.  Tonight, I stood during the whole time I was ushering at the theater. :P

Today we are going to see the tour of School of Rock. I tried to trade the tickets in for Les Mis earlier, but Les Mis was sold out.

I've seen Les Miz a couple of times now and have several cast recordings of the show (and a few not in English), so I would've chosen School of Rock, myself.  I really like that cast recording.  I hope you enjoyed it!

It is basically the adoptive brother of the waterfront Ram where the old actors often eat lunch.

I just found THIS VIDEO of the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles performing I Wanna Be a Rockette with their own "Rockette" girls and they have very appropriate choeography and costumes that are much more modest (and appropriate) than the girls that I saw today.

The only thing blackened about the chicken was the name.
