I will gladly take some good vibes that we like our new next door neighbor/s.  I have no idea who purchased it.  Plus fingers crossed if they do any remodeling it won't last any length of time.  There are horror stories of year long remodels.  While there are time restrictions to when the loud work can be done it is still unpleasant to hear it during the day.

Here ya go!

Magnificat Rescue posted this news about Mego last night:
We did it!

Mego got discharged from VERG Brooklyn this afternoon and is now on his way to his new foster home, where he will get the finest care and tons of affection. He is being very good in his carrier in the car.
He was so funny when the fosters were getting detailed instructions about his care and how to feed him through the tube. He would not stop exploring - he must have been stir crazy after being in the ICU so long - and his attitude was that of a cat who could take care of himself, thank you very much. And then he got into his carrier by himself and announced, "C'mon, people, let's go, let's go, LET'S GO!"
Mego is too excited about leaving the ICU to express his gratitude. But all of us at Magnificat would like to thank everybody who has contributed to this wonderful outcome:

Dr. DiFazio, Dr. Brida and all the ICU staff at VERG Brooklyn for the care they provided Mego;
Mego's many supporters, for your generous donations and your continued encouragement - we truly believe that your prayers and good thoughts helped him get through this harrowing, life-threatening infection;
and Kathleen and Mike, who drove all the way to Brooklyn to get Mego and who will foster him until he is completely well. He could not be in better hands.

THANK YOU!!!!!!

And today’s report:
Mego is still getting used to his new foster home. He is confined to a bathroom temporarily, and although he has plenty of room to roam he prefers to stay between the toilet and the wall ...for now. Give him a day or two, and he will be meowing to be let out to explore.

I woke up early and was anxious to get started on all that needs to be done around the apartment. I can't do a lot at once; I have to do things in small increments. A lot has been done now, though. I've been throwing out old papers and catalogs, among other things, and cleaning as I go.

So many bad dreams from DRs! Mine wasn't a nightmare, but Thursday morning I had yet another dream about my old stomping ground, Old Town Alexandria, and woke up with a great sense of sadness. I seldom remember my dreams. I wonder if all these dreams are the result of something going on in the cosmos.

Good afternoon, all. Back from rehearsal and here to report that Mother Dolores is in fine fettle. And she’s such a wonderful reader. (She’s reading a lengthy passage from the beginning of To Kill a Mockingbird.)

Ready to settle in for the rest of the day. I have to work on a couple of added songs, then I’m going to watch something later.

I'm up, I'm up - oh, wait.  Listening to an upcoming release - they wanted me to use an existing master, but I'm not completely happy with it so I'm making notes about what I'd like them to listen to and fix.

I don't know how to do those fancy moving vibes, but certainly vibes that works out. Change if neighbors can be a little scary, if the ones leaving are good neighbors.

She was nice and she was hardly here which made her an easy neighbor.

Since my motion sickness issues aren't keen on those fancy moving vibes I appreciate your simple ones.  Thank you.

Yay!  Sometimes being technically inept has advantages!  :)

Was the rhyme intentional?  One rarely sees "fettle" and "settle" so close to each other without a rhyming purpose?

Nope, not at all, must be my natural genius shining through.

I am listening to a third CD from the swing set.  The first half of the CD was Ella Fitzgerald.  I think I will need to keep this one.
