I'm taking another break from the cleaning and tidying, and preparing for tomorrow's building inspection. My back always has a mind of its own, but today it really doesn't want to cooperate.

I'd arranged with the building manager to have my inspection at 11:30 tomorrow, instead of having to wait around much of the day. She now informs me that the handyman will have to leave early, so inspection hours are 8:00 to 9:30ish. That makes a mess of my morning and effectively means I have to skip my exercise program, which I really don't like to do. Of course, I'll have the later part of the day to take care of other things (if I'm not completely exhausted from today).

Are not these defections partly the result of long hours and insufficient staff? I'm sure if everyone had Vixmom's work ethic the office would function more smoothly.

I did! And after work tonight, I'm working concessions for Melissa Etheridge: The Rock Show! I won't get to see the beginning of the show because we in concessions have to clean up before we go in to watch, but it'll go pretty quickly. I won't miss too much.
