DR TCB American gelato,  IMHO, ranges from ok to rather bad.  I don't recall ever having good store bought gelato.

I've found a gelato where they throw extra stuff like chocolate chips in them tend to taste as good as ice creams like Breyer's, and at times have fewer calories.  But then I seem to make up for the saved calories with cookies since gelato doesn't satisfy like ice cream.

But Breyer's somehow never satisfies like Hog and Daz.  And now that those pints are 14 ounces rather than 16 ounces, it's so tempting to convince myself that when 14 ounces disappear in two days, that hey, it's not THAT bad, it wasn't a full pint.  :)

vixmom, does the assistant report right to you, take duties and order of performance of tasks directly from you?  (If there's any way to haggle for that hierarchy right from the first week, that could have long-term benefits.)

BK, I can't imagine the person who used your phrase would deny where it came from if it were pointed out to them.

I use "oy and vey" a lot or "sundried" and others whenever possible, am very happy to say who I got it from.  Sometimes, I can't do that smoothly, but I attribute its source where I smoothly can.

DR Ginny enjoy your new bed tonight.

Richard is lying down right now, reading a book.  I just ordered new bedside tables to replace the ones we've been using for as long as I can remember.  My parents bought them in 1959, so I think we've gotten their money's worth...

Is it Ok with BK to post this.

"Charlie's Place" and "Over Here" title song, from the 1974 Tonys, a little static at the top, but then the video soon settles in

The weirdest tag line by the "Over Here!" advertising people was calling it (in the 1970s while the Andrews Sisters were seen as the draw IIRC "An Explosion of Knockout Dancing" - I recall Mom saying I didn't even know the Andrews Sisters were thought of as dancers.  :)

Oh, the delirious rhyming! "we're khaki-wacky for the GI?" form the title song.

"I'm another Krupa heading up a supa' band."

Was the show positioning itself oddly, or did the star contracts just run out?

We saw "A Chorus Line" at the Shubert such a short time after "Over Here" -  Mom loved "Chorus Line" but hadn't really felt remotely  prepared by the press for the frank language.

ChasSmith - delicate string fills in ANNIE?  Since when?  It's one violin.  Or is this some Keith Levinson redo?

I know the point of catchphrases is to have them catch on - what is it, fish - and I love doing them and seeing them and they don't really have to be attributed - big happy pants - but that wasn't really a catchphrase, just my way of talking about people who pimp out their stuff on Facebook all the time - you know, getting someone to visit their site - I could do it every day on Facebook but I just don't and never have.  I can probably count on the fingers of one hand the times I have.

She and Dad had specifically chosen "Over Here" for the family over "A little Night Music" (which had already moved from the Shubert to the Majestic) - they'd felt the sexual aspects of Little Night Music might confound me at that age.  But by a year or so later, they felt I'd be moire than fine seeing "Chorus Line" with Mom there.  I wonder if the frankness of "Little night Music" had been better covered in the press than "Chorus Line" or if the year from age 14 to age 15 just made such a difference in their minds.

I think one of the first parody lyrics I ever wrote that got performed was called "Over Her!" - a fake-news  parody of "Over Here" - it was a totally-pretend idea of the Andrews Sisters being annoyed with Janie Sell for walking away with their show in terms of awards and stuff.

For the benefit of the parody stalkers. :). here it is

ANDREWS SISTERS sing "OVER HER" about everyone fawning over Janie Sell even more than over the Sisters: (tune of "Over Here" title song)

Now we’re here singing and we’re dancing to that Sherman score
Huffin’ and a-wheezin’ til we can’t take no more
But all our hard work has gotten shot right to hell
‘Cause of that young siren known as Janie Sell

We give our all
And what a switch
Critics all went clacky-wacky over that b*tch

We're over her, ick-icky-poo
We hate her guts ‘cause she's stealing our show
We're over her, ick-icky-poo
She makes us nuts and we wish she would blow

While Miss Sell steals scenes so sweetly
We sisters are completely
Over her
Ick-ick-icky-poo

We hate her
Can’t tell you how much we hate her
All the critics want to date her
We’re getting’ bored
Watch her win our Tony award

We’re over her, ick-icky-poo
We thought this show’s a big comeback for us
We’re over her, ick-icky-poo
The hatred grows as they’re makin’ a fuss

Though we’ll do our bis-tu-shein-ing
You’ll hear us both complaining
We’re over her
Ick-ick-icky-poo!

I am not a fan of Breyer's ice cream so that isn't saying much, IMHO-lol.
