Now listening to more music and a great album - Previn and J. J. Johnson (trombone), Red Mitchell, and Frank Capp playing Kurt Weill, mostly Threepenny, but a few Happy End and one Mahagonny. I'm not always fond of Previn in jazz mode - I find him very facile (great players) and sometimes show offy, but not here - this music must get to him in some way because he actually has some gravitas here.
