An early Question for BK:  yesterday, you wrote:
Quote
At the end of my introductory remarks I really let the audience know what was what by saying that 90% of the show was singing - highlighting the SONGWRITER we were feting and then I called out our quintet and introduced Richard Allen as Richard Sherman's favorite musical director.

I'm curious...was the 16 minutes of the orchestra stuff at least instrumental versions of Sherman Brothers songs, or did they do completely different stuff?

After the movie yesterday, Margo and I went to a local restaurant, Casa Mia (from Mamma Mia to Casa Mia!).  The food was wasn't bad, but the service was.  We both had diet Pepsi, but it was flat.  The waitress didn't seem to understand what Margo was saying when she suggested that they might want to change their carbonated water tanks because there was no carbonation.  She got us new glasses, but they were kind of flat, too. :P Then, for our refills, she gave us Dr. Pepper...and not even diet Dr. Pepper!  When we told her that, she just took the glasses away, but didn't get us new diet Pepsis!  What the heck??  We left a tip, but not a huge one. ::)

Things remain quite rotten, and I see no end of this mess for some time.  The problem of hanging on by your nails is that eventually you have no more nails.

In an hour, I must leave for my appointment with my ophthalmalogist, one more bit of hell today.  I do not look forward to the confrontation over why he never responded to my emails of May 2 about prescription problems.  I would prefer to stay home.

Nine of eleven members of an Indianapolis family were among those who lost their lives in the Branson Duck Boat accident last week....lots of news coverage and sad interviews.

A Go Fund Me Page for the family has raised almost half a million dollars....  I hope they get that money.

Fun vibes and travel vibes for DR KEVIN H.  I also enjoyed reading about the Sherman Event from the other side of the curtain.

Nice photos Bruce.  Keith watched part of the video with me yesterday, the best part with Richard Sherman speaking and then receiving his cake.

TOD:  Do you mean pop and top 40 type albums.

During the 1980s, Cyndi Lauper's album (the album that included "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun") and the Whitney Houston album that included "I Wanna Dance With Somebody..."   Something about the word "wanna" during the 1980s.  :).  Will singles be TOD another day?  (For me, that was Tracey Ullman's "They Don't Know," but somehow that whole album never became as much if a favorite as that single.)

Over the years, I've gotten to appreciate Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and Paul Simon's "Graceland."  Strangely, seeing "Spiderman" got me listening to more Bono and U2, and I really came to so admire U2's "The Joshua Tree" a great deal since then , while I hadn't noticed that album all that much in the 1980s.
