The cats let me sleep until 7:10, so I'm up.  They are fed and I need more coffee.

After I posted an item on FB yesterday about the murder by burglars of my first publicity client, actor Charles Wagenheim (FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT, GUNSMOKE, etal.), it dawned on me that, in my lifetime, I have known or met MANY people who were either murdered or had murdered somebody.

In addition to Charles, victims include actors Sal Mineo and Susan Cabot, screenwriter Robert Lees (ABBOTT & COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN) and a director/acting coach who, back in the mid-late 1960s, was shot by a student in his theater, located in Hollywood on Vine Street. He wasn't a client for long and, unfortunately, I can't recall his name. Anybody know this case?

On the other hand, killers I've met or known include Gig Young, who shot his wife, then himself, Christian Brando (just a young boy then) and my one-time neighbor, Eddie Cannizarro, who claimed to have shot "Bugsy" Siegel.

Makes me wonder if I'm a jinx or something.

My goodness, it's a Saturday. And this is really supposed to be the last of the week's rain, clearing out by this afternoon?

Believe it when I see it. But I do hope to see it.

This is not a good idea.

When you make everybody a "Nazi," then nobody is a Nazi.

How soon we forget.   :(

Today's produce box has lots of mangoes. I should make some coffee cakes and freeze them.

Sandra asked me yesterday what my favorite restaurant is. I had to think, and honestly, I don't have an answer.

My husband always chooses Golden Corral. Sandra chooses Quiznos (if we can find one; there aren't many left around here) or some place she can get something vegetarian.

Are there many Quiznos left anywhere?
