Amy, we have a couple of old-fashioned diners that still sell black bottom pie. Yum.

the last load of wash i had time to do is in the dryer.  fingers crossed it won't be long before i am up to finishing the piles sitting out.  i know i will not have as much mobility or use of my fingers after the surgery, at least not for 11 days when i return for my post-op check.

Been dealing with crazy computer problems.  Got a senior tech on the phone.  Was getting pop-ups like crazy about keychain not remembering passwords and all kinds of junk - we finally reset everything (thankfully the cloud keychain is always on so all that was protected) - he didn't know why it was happening, but thinks it could be Word mucking up the works because the new OS doesn't support my version of Word, which is 2011.  I knew that, but this is the first time there's ever been a problem.  He's saying I will probably have to get the new version - very expensive - and annoying, frankly.  It's not Apple - Word did this to force people into the new version.  Right now I have Word closed and Dropbox off because it was trying to sink like 8,000 files.  I'll turn it on overnight and let it do that.  But everything seems okay for now.

Burt Reynolds has died.

A couple of people here at work just announced that.  He was 82 years old. :(

DR Vixmom, go to a higher authority in the franchise than this auto dealer and complain.  They need to fix the issue or explain why they cannot and return your car.

Yes! >:(

Thursday morning greetings!

The temporary cast they put on me yesterday is far more comfortable than the one I wore on the ship.  It is a fraction of the weight.

DR Jane, I hope all goes smoothly today!

Ass at Frozen performance gets his banner stolen by Troll King.

What a totally rude thing for the audience member to do, regardless of what kind of flag.

Burt Reynolds will always be Michael Arthur Pritchard in At Long Last Love. Say what you will, it was the movie that introduced me to Cole Porter. And it changed my life.

I once interviewed Charles Strouse. He told me he had to write a score for Burt Reynolds and didn’t even know if Burt Reynolds could sing. I gave him a copy of the album he did that Bobby Goldsboro produced. Reynolds did sing Strouse in All Dogs Go to Heaven.
