It was something beyond heartbreaking. Sometimes I simply have to choose not to view or dwell on these things; the emotion is really beyond description.

BUT -- speaking "scientifically" -- I'd be very interested to know more about that specific situation, about the deceased owner's activities and the video itself. It's hard to believe that there's anything about a video playing on a cell phone for a cat to recognize or respond to. And yet, there's no other way to interpret what we see there. Well, like I said...it's beyond description.

LOL....not really DR JANE - but it HAS to get better.

Because of irritations and the incompetence of others, nothing I needed to finish today was done on time.

I needed a couple of hours to work on the dance I am in for SISTER ACT for rehearsal tomorrow....which I won't get to do....unless I do it when I get home from BAREFOOT IN THE PARK...which I probably will do so I'm not the ONLY person in the room tomorrow who doesn't KNOW the routine...

I've seen Thatch watch TV and react to things he sees, my brother Randy's dogs bark at dogs they see in the television. The cell phone picture should be no more different, and unless the voice were distorted, I'd think the cat recognized voice patterns and vocal rhythms. When I mention "treat," the cats know it, and I do believe they recognize certain words very clearly.

Yep! Annabelle and Thatch know their names.

She fought me like hell whenever I got that syringe of water near a nostril. I did get some water up one of her nostrils and she sneezed and wheezed like crazy before she decided it was time to avoid me. If she's still not eating tomorrow and wheezing and struggling to clear her nose, I'll call the vet.

Plus, a contractor’s contract expired and today was his last day. Sad to see him go.

We lose two more contractors next Friday.
