Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both sunny and rainy, and now it is time for you to post until the sunny, rainy cows come home.

Growing up, I don't think I had a favorite record label, except maybe Atlantic, which is where The Manhattan Transfer were. :)

Today, I need to go to the rehearsal space for The Rocky Horror Show and look at some things that the stage manager is bringing to be used as props...paper box lids to be used as trays.  After that, I'm going to my sister's house for our family's weekly family dinner.  We're having baked potatoes and I'm bringing a couple of different kinds of cheeses and something else that I forget right now.  It's all downstairs.  After dinner and game playing, I need to do a little prop shopping for TRHS, then I'll go home.  And that's my day. :)

So ... after a nice clear, sunny, brisk fall day yesterday, guess what we have this morning.

RAIN.

With frost warnings for tonight.

As you know, I have been missing Joshie something awful. We still have Rex, but he is old and swats at me. He has always been Sandra's cat.

My son and daughter-in-law gave me a gift certificate for the pound for Christmas, for when I am ready to get a new cat.

Now, as I have said, I really really want a calico. We have had many kinds of kitties over the years, but I have never had a calico, and I really want one some day.

I want a uniquely-marked cat. I even saved a name through all the fostering we have done: Betsy.

I am going to take my time and choose exactly the kitty I want. My requirements are: female, calico, short-haired, and very loud purr.

So, last night, after feeding the Night Cats (ferals) that live in the backyard, I heard growling, which is very unusual. I often seen the Night Cats cuddling together or grooming each other.

I see a new kitty, being growled at by Queenie. The new cat is eating all the food. (Queenie is so named because he is all black, and Queenie is the best role in Show Boat. We didn't know until after we caught him in a trap and took him to be fixed that he was a boy. The name stuck, anyway.)
