Topic of the Day: the first one that comes to mind is the production of The Turn of the Screw that I just saw in Seattle. It was mostly really cool animated projections, but the physical set which the projections were projected onto seemed to be somewhat simple. Thinking about it though, it really was pretty clever and inventive.

Also, Les Misérable with the turntable. They built that for the tour when it was at The 5th Avenue in Seatle.

Well, today is going to be a day. I'm going to work for at least five hours on my first day to earn extra hours because we're changing when we get paid each month, and to make the adjustment, they're going to delay what would've been our December 31 paycheck until January 10!

I had several dreams about John McGlinn last night. In one, I was looking at music for a recording and much of it turned out to be music that had belonged to McGlinn. In the other dream, I was flying to London to record with John, and I could not get anyone to confirm when I needed to be there.

Saturday.....my bed making is done and the house is swept and Swiffered.....I sweep every day and Swiffer on Saturday.

Sad news from DR VIXMOM last night.....

Monday is the surgery so we shall see what we shall see. I am looking forward to the conscious sedation which is always a trip. No one seems to know WHO is doing the surgery....it must be a mystery doctor.

DR Jane, where in Quebec could people be travelling that there would be snow? Temps in May usually are nice. But with the way the weather is who knows. It could be 60°F or it could be 80°F. We had a very very hot summer this year. Hopefully it will be the same next year.

Actors Theater of Louisville had great set designers when I was growing up and the look could be sleek and elegant (a Deco production of The Play's the Thing), realistic (Morning's at Seven with working kitchen sinks, etc.) of period (What Every Woman Knows).

On Broadway, Grind was as overdressed as the women were underdressed.

And regionally, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music staged Sweeney Todd with a good copy of the original Lee sets.
