The Kritzerland show last night was terrific! The song choices were great and all the performances were superb. We sat with Autumn Jessel's parents who were very nice and obviously very proud of their daughter. They live just north of us in Simi Valley so we could talk about the tragedies of Thousand Oaks last month. It turns out I ordered the same mushroom bolognese that Bruce did. I noticed the vegetarian sausage in the description and Mr. Jessel said that "vegetarian" and "sausage" don't go together, but I ordered it anyway, and it was very good. I was glad I ordered  it because I had to eat it in my lap because a lot of the food arrived very late, just as the show was starting. And I had to turn my chair completely around to see the stage, which I usually do, but I couldn't do that and eat my food on the table at the same time, so my lap was my only option. I only hoped the performers didn't notice the weird women in front with a huge bowl of pasta in her lap. I was glad I didn't order something that required a knife and fork because I would have been screwed. But others did which meant there was quite a lot of clanging of silverware during the first five songs, so I tried to be as quiet as a mouse while I twirled pasta around my fork.  ;)

TOD when my mom and i were San Francisco, we had dinner at our hotel near Fisherman's wharf.  I had a daquiri which of course was blended.  Unfortunately I when I drank it, I found ground glass in it.  They offered to comp an after dinner drink for my mom!

TOD

I’ve too many stories to tell, and as a critic, I tried various ways of dealing with bad experiences to see what would happen. One of the worst was finding a broken ceramic cup handle in a dessert. The server refused to acknowledge it, so did her manager. I wrote it up and they still refused to even apologize.

Wow, you can't get more obvious than a cup handle.

TOD - My worst experience was the last morning of our honeymoon.  We had an early breakfast at the hotel and headed to Oxford for the graduate class we were taking together.  I'd made the mistake of eating the sausage gravy that tasted a little "off" and we came home by way of the emergency room.  They young physician asked if I could be pregnant and I said, "I've only been married a week!"

This is ACC #30126, Levi aka Bruiser, one year old.  I think his murder aka euthanasia in July 2018 haunts me the most because he was so damned adorable.  How can you justify murdering something so precious?

I'm up, I'm up - I was up at eight-thirty for thirty minutes, then went back to bed - I think about nine or ten hours of needed sleep.

Amy, would you try vegetarian haggis? I saw a canned version for sale Saturday.

I know there are some here who do not like Adam Sandler.  Even so I hope you find his Chanukah song as much fun as I do.

This morning I decided I was well enough to go to my first important appointment of the week.  Having only one car Keith dropped me off and went to the gym.  While I waited for him I walked around nearby stores and browsed.  I went into the Big Lots store and found 3 decorative throw pills that work well with our new comforter and shams.  Now all we need is a bed skirt instead of the mismatched one we have.

The price on the pillows was about half of others we have looked at :)

Think I'll go have a meal somewhere.  I was almost going to make some pasta and butter here, but I'm not sure I feel like that today.

Back from a sandwich and onion rings, then picking up some packages, mostly screeners - Black Panther and Mary Poppins Returns arrived plus a Warner Bros. code to stream all their films - the only one I want to watch is The Mule, the new Clint Eastwood movie, but that won't be available until the 14th.
