Well I will be directing PICNIC for September in 2019.  But my dear talented cousin got the shaft for the second year in a row and will not be directing SHREK.

Loyalty and reward and appreciation for years of service are not particularly valued.....especially by some who think the OTHER guy will cast them in roles in the production....which is exactly why they voted for him......sad....sad....sad....

I loved the ZIV logo DR DRUXY....and in fact I think HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER from AIP was filmed on the ZIV lot - they put up a sign at the gate.....but AIP didn't have a lot....

I’m sorry for your cousin. And yet I’m not. Shrek is a ghastly show. Not having to direct it is a blessing in my book.

ZIV was located at the Goldwyn Studios on Santa Monica Blvd.

When I was in high school, my father and I went to Los Angeles (from Seattle) for a week, and Fed Ziv arranged for us to get onto the lot and watch them film an AIP film with John Ashley.  It was a teen-age thing.  I never saw it and don't recall the title.

I have neither seen the movie nor heard one note of this ghastly musical, but I'm playing it in the spring, for two weeks.

For the MONEY. :)

I always "assumed" it was a piece o' crap, or at the very least simply wasn't my type of material. So I was disappointed to hear that this group had chosen it. But when they did, I thought, optimistically, that maybe my assumptions were a bit unjust and that it might have some things going for it.

It doesn't sound like DR John G. is offering any hope in that regard.

I must step out this morning and pick up some recommended drugs for Annabelle, who sounds this morning just as she did yesterday. So much for an air purifier and a humidifier!

BK, did you notice that on the Kritzerland front page, the link to the Rodgers and Hart CD is spelled "Bagley's RODERS AND HART REVISTED"?  Everything else is spelled correctly, but that one place has the typo.

Well.....I was reticent about SHREK....oh yes, I was reticent.....but I watched the Broadway Show DVD - and it was pretty funny....and even liked some of the music even though I didn't like Tesori's work in TMMILLIE....I guess it's the difference between Disney and Dreamworks.....

And:

The sight of an airplane in the sky on Monday makes you wistful, and it also makes you think, 'OK, what about me? Where do I want to go?' Time to make travel plans -- big or small, it doesn't matter, just go somewhere with a friend or even by yourself (great soul-searching opportunity). Work stuff has you occupied Tuesday and Wednesday (cross as many things off your list as possible, be careful when communicating, focus on the details). Thursday and Friday are family days. Saturday is packed to the gills with plans and people, as is Sunday. Be open-minded and flexible.

On Saturday night, I decided to contact the NYC ACC to see if I could obtain some information about Annabelle's stay there: health issues, behavior, etc.  I just received this reply to my email:
Annabelle was found as a stray from 2007 surf avenue Brooklyn NY 11224 on 9-19-17.  The admissions counselor who processed her intake stated she was very friendly and affectionate.  During her time here she was relaxed and solicited attention from passerbys by rubbing her cheeks on the cage and sticking her paws out.  When she was handled she would purr and brush up against the person handling her and she appeared to be healthy when she came in.

She's a Brooklyn girl!

LOL, DR JRand!

My math was based on the info she gave, so who knows.  I will say at the end of the show she looked considerably older than she had at the beginning.
