RALPHS - no apostrophe.......

The retailer known as "Land's End" spells their name "Lands' End". By the time they realized their error it was already in print and they chose to leave it. After all these years it still bugs me. If I mention Land's End I usually spell it "Land's End". I respect an individual's or company's right to choose their spelling, but not in this case.

I feel the same way about Ralph's. They spell it "Ralphs". I spell it "Ralph's".

And guess what? I'm typing! With both hands! Yay!

I did go out today to get some food. I didn't have to drive far, but it didn't seem to bother it.

Yay!  I know how good that feels :)

Since I'm right-handed I wouldn't have thought that driving would be so difficult on my left wrist and hand. But it is.

LOL. Very good, Tom. I was looking for a way to misuse the apostrophe, but you found it.

Plays:
The Art of Racing in the Rain
I Am My Own Wife
Red

I noticed what play didn't make his list!

TOD:

A CAROL CHRISTMAS was the only play I saw this year, which automatically makes it my favorite. It would be stiff competition for any show.

I imagine one or two of Vixmom's coworkers will relate The Boss's grumblings after she's gone. I do feel bad for the rest of the staff, though.

Since I'm right-handed I wouldn't have thought that driving would be so difficult on my left wrist and hand. But it is.

Because you still need to steer with your left when shifting with your right, though if you can't use your right hand to shift forget driving at all if you can't reach it.  Oh, and then there is the difficulty of opening the door with your left hand.

When we were car shopping we test drove one car that had the shift off of the steering wheel, just like they used to be.  I wanted that car because I could reach it with my left hand.

Jane, are you getting closer to pain-free?

Umm, my wrist?  Yes I am, or at least back to my normal.  As a precaution I am using the wrist support when I do my elbow exercises.

If you are asking about my elbow, well.....I doubt it will ever be pain free but for the most part is is tolerable.  Doing the stretches and exercises hurts.  Typing isn't as bad as using the mouse but both are easily doable now.  These actions are basically bothersome because of the hard plate my arms rests on and the incision that is still sensitive.  Incision should improve, the hard plate isn't going anywhere.

Thanks for asking.

I cannot imagine driving without use of my right hand.

I could not, three separate injuries now.  When the dog bit my right hand we had the shift up by the steering wheel and I drove just fine left handed.  I was also much, much younger than I am now.

T.O.D.

The 5th Avenue's production of MAMMA MIA.

I saw a number of local productions this year, but only one of them really stands out in my memory; Lakewood Playhouse's BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS.
