It’s been a long and fun day though rain kept us from doing much. We spent the evening playing rummy and drinking Aperol spritzers.

I first read that as "...drinking Aerosol spritzers." :o

DRs Matthew and Jane:  Can you tell me how long it took to get an interview for Global Entry?  I applied in October and the status is still "wait for conditional approval."   Of course the time probably varies depending on geographic location but I'd like to get an idea.

I got really lucky.  It all happened rather quickly.  The day or so after my application was approved, I was told I needed to get an appointment and they are usually booked months in advance.  That would not have been good since I'm leaving for Amsterdam in a week.  So, I went online and the first appointment seemed to be in late January.  So, I kinda freaked out.  however, all of a sudden, there on the calendar was an appointment for THAT DAY.  So I grabbed it, made sure i had all my credentials and headed to the airport.  The interview was quick, and the card came a week or two later.  Best $100 I've ever spent.  It's good for 5 years.

You did get lucky.

Craig's package wasn't delivered again.  All day it said it was out for deliver.  Now it says "Scheduled delivery: Pending" and it is saying "No scheduled delivery date available at this time.".

I wonder if the truck driver runs out of time and doesn't complete his/her deliveries.

There seem to be way too many complaints on the internet regarding the same problem.

Latest update, cuz I know you are all very interest  ;)

Customer Not Available or Business Closed
Recommended action: Delivery will be re-attempted the next business day.
Scheduled delivery: Thursday 12/20/2018 by end of day

I would think that Fedex has a key or code to deliver packages.

What is global entry?

For a fee you can get a card that gets you TSA pre-approved for the fast security line in the States, and the fast line when returning from international flights.

The card is good for a year and then you get to pay to renew it.

Well, it's time for me to leave work and go to the theater.  Tonight is our final dress rehearsal!  Hope it goes well!

Be back later!

And what's great is that if you have the United Airlines Visa Card, they'll reimburse you for the $100 fee.

We don't have it.  Bryan got a new credit card, forgot which one, that included free Global entry.

Our issue with Fedex for Craig is nothing compared to ours for Bryan who stayed home two days in a row waiting for a delivery, only to find a notice that he wasn't there to receive it. >:(

Back from a fine closing performance of Norwalk High School's "Candlelight" holiday concert.

And now, tomorrow, on to the next thing - a local theater company's first foray into small "cabarets" at various senior residences.

I am home from City Center, and it was a long work day for me.  Joshie leaves tomorrow morning for Vermontm and I have the next seven days to myself at home.  We will get back to work on the 27th.

Nice new avatar there, Mr. Elmore, sir!

I am watching trying to watch this Penatonix Christmas special.  The writing is terrible, but you would think that someone could have taught them how to lip sync.  They are just moving their mouths — no attempt at breath control.  It is really stupid.
