After an interesting tour we are anxious to get out of the bus and back to the ship. Thank goodness the tour guide stopped talking. An hour of listening to him during the drive back in the dark would have been too much.

Annabelle refused breakfast, so Thatch ate hers as well. Just as I thought we needed to see Dr. Mohr today, I caught her her eating dry Temptations treats. I guess she didn't feel like turkey and giblets this morning.

We are back on the ship relaxing in the bar instead of eating dinner I should have had a bigger lunch. We are munching on pretzels, a Chex mix, and mixed nuts. Since the nuts have both hazel nuts and Brazil nuts I decided I should eat them.

I do enjoy THE BONE COLLECTOR...even if "the reveal" is a bit of a letdown.

Washington is a fine actor, but most of his films seem to "run together". They're like popcorn. I enjoy them while I am watching them, but a week later, I can't recall what they are about.

In all fairness, I can say that about most films these days.

The reason I wanted to go on this trip was to see Ha Long Bay. We have been told tomorrow it might be too foggy to see anything.

Please, fingers crossed and all good things it will be clear enough to enjoy this spectacular place. We only have one chance to see it.

I've thought Denzel Washington was great in anything I've seen him in, but a lot of the films for some reason aren't among those that stick in my mind.

MALCOM X, yes, definitely, and I was thinking about that one recently. I'm ready to watch it again.

I did catch THE BONE COLLECTOR once on cable, and liked it, but I have now totally forgotten the "reveal". I remember seeing GLORY way back when, but have forgotten much of that, too. I managed to skip both the MANCHURIAN and PELHAM remakes, even though I'd intended to see each of them just for the pure hell of it.

Now, looking over his filmography, I am stunned, stunned, to see that he was Dr. Chandler in ST. ELSEWHERE. How did I never remember that?

Those 1990s serial killer movies always grabbed me, for better or worse. Does anyone know one called RESURRECTION, also from 1999? I only remember a couple of moments from it, and it probably wasn't even very good or well known, but I thought it was suitably creepy.
