Back from a hugely long day and I'm exhausted.  But both concerts went really well - full houses for both, lots of really big laughs for the patter (and some unscripted patter, too), and wonderful musicianship and all that great Morricone music.  Both audiences loved it.  For me, I would have cut two numbers out of each act - in fact, I insisted we cut one for the second show and that really helped the first act.  So, the evening was a bit longer than I like - with intermission about two-hours and twenty minutes.

After the second show, several of us went to a local eatery.  I hadn't really eaten anything during the day save for a couple of those bite-sized Snickers and Milky Way things.  I had a Caesar salad and a hickory, bacon cheddar burger that was very good - and a few soggy fries.  It was fun.  I honestly was worried whether I'd have any voice at all for the second show - between the song I did and all that yakking for thirty minutes or however long my stuff was, I was all in vocally.  But we had 100 minutes to rest between shows and I just kept my mouth shut and then had three sips of hot tea.  But I got through the second show just fine, and my song was even better.  Go know.

I tossed and turned and moaned and groaned until I realized that I forgot to take my pain pills.

Congratulations, BK, on the successful show and equally successful voice.
