Had some chicken tenders for the meal o' the day, picked up some packages, had the CD pick-up, proofed about fifty pages, and here I be, listening to music.  I think I found a way to consolidate two middle chapters so that I can break a sequence for a new chapter where it desperately feels needed.

Interesting clip from 1976, Donny and Marie and a post-divorce Sonny and Cher sing "You'd think that people would have had enough of silly love songs"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju8er_jnz5c

Musically, it sounds well-rehearsed, at least to these ears.  But it looks like they just winged it for the jokes.  Back then, I'm sure they never imagined these things would get watched away from the show.

There's something sweet about Donny and Cher bouncing off each other.  My favorite joke in that clip is when Cher says "Song Cue!" and Donny says "You're welcome."

Now I'm into the first act of the complete recording of Allegro.  A flop perhaps, but the most influential flop ever written.  More  later about my impressions.  Cranking the furnace tonight.

Nice clip.

My question for ASK BK DAY:

I purchased your Donny/Marie as a perk a few years ago, and some of the scenes said "Bank" instead of giving a time and place for taping....were these scenes that had already been taped and would be inserted into the show?

It's up to 3 degrees now.....another night of opening the cabinet doors under the sinks to help keep the pipes from freezing.

I had to close the window again.  The drop in temperature in the last two hours is amazing.,

No, George, no one sick on this cruise.  The weather is calm, and everyone seems to be having a good time.

Normal size. It was like an oyster Rockefeller.

Mahogany Bay was a cute little tourist trap.  In order to enter the area from the ship, and to return to it later, you had to go through the large Duty Free Store.  Nothing seemed like a very good price, especially things like chocolate and rum cakes.

Once past the Duty Free store, you came upon a large group of little shops.  Some sold diamonds or pearls or emeralds; but other than that, it was all the exact same tourist stuff.  You could get a passport stamp for Honduras, but they requested a donation in return for it.

It was around 78 degrees, so neither one of us felt like taking a taxi into the actual town.  We also skipped the beach, since my scooter does not do well in sand.  They had a fun little beach lift (like a ski lift) that took you from the stores, over the trees, and then dropped you off on the beach.

I bought a trinket or two, and then we returned to the ship.  After lunch, we watched SKYSCRAPER on the TV.  Yesterrday it was the movie in the theater, but we missed it.  Also, last night, I watched most of CRAZY RICH ASIANS on TV.  Now I am off to wander the ship, looking for fun, fun, fun!

In my apartment complex in Schaumburg, IL, everyone in corner units had to do the open-cabinet dripping-faucet thing when it dropped to a certain temperature.

I was surprised when I found I have to drip a faucet right here. My laundry room is on the second floor with the bedrooms and it backs onto an attic space with minimal insulation. Those are the only pipes in the house that aren’t well “inside” the jernt, and it’s lucky I had them install a sink at the last minute or there would be nothing to drip.
