I’m waiting to see the doctor now. Thank you, all, for the vibes.

Here are some more from me...

I loved "Levi!"  I wish we could see it on Blu-ray too!   Marc Ginsburg was so great--I hope he would be part of a new production.

So there are two kids sitting behind me.  One of them is named "Atlas." First time I've heard that.

SPOILERS AHEAD:  So, Sunday afternoon I saw the new, bizarre production of "Oklahoma."   I ran into DR Jose and we had a nice chat.   What can I say?  I guess the dialogue is the same as the original (?) but the production is really very different from any other version, I'm sure!   The only person I was familiar with was Mary Testa.  The cast was very good.  Someone near me mentioned that the set looked like a high school production.  There were several long tables on the stage. Members of the audience sat on one side.  Sometimes the actors would sit on the tables and there was a little interaction with those audience members.   At the start of the show, Mary Testa (Aunt Eller) has a big mixing bowl and cracks several eggs, some milk and several cartons of Jiffy cornbread mix.   I wondered if that would go to waste.  Not at all.  At intermission chili and cornbread was served.

The Gershwin show at 54 Below was terrific!   All four singers were wonderful.  George Dvorsky, Rebecca Luker, Klea Blackhurst and Nicolas King.   George gave me a nice greeting.  I've seen him many times over the years and he's always great.

Yesterday I went to the new Hudson Yards development.  There are several big buildings and a mall with high-end stores.  There's also The Vessel:

I have to say last night's concert was the highlight of my trip.  Liz and Ann Callaway performed at Sony Hall.  It's located in the Paramount Hotel.  It's an old venue that's been renovated.  It has about 500 seats and there's supposedly room for 1,000 to stand.  I don't see how that can be, but that's what the website says.  Anyway, the show was a Broadway tribute and I really enjoyed very song.  Ann sang "If He Walked Into My Life," a song from her Broadway show, "Swing.") and many others.  I can't think of it, but it's a classic).   Liz, of course, sang "The Story Goes On," from her Broadway show, "Baby."  There were many duets, including "Some People," For Good, Defying Gravity and a long medley of songs that people suggested they sing.   What a terrific show!

Yesterday's sessions went well.  The orchestra played really well, and everyone was in a very positive mood.  Scarlett Strallen our wonderful leading lady is 12 months pregnant and ready to drop at any moment.  She sang beautifully, and late in the afternoon her significant other Bryce Pinkham showed up to cheer her on.  They met during the run of A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder.

I'm surprised she can breathe.

I was thinking the same thing.

JRand, have your hearing checked, please. I love “Don’t sleep in the sun with Johnny.” But it could interfere with my private life.

Books delivered, but not the right ones.  We didn't think it was possible for the order placed at four yesterday could print and ship within a matter of hours and it wasn't.  What they sent was yet another box of the free copies I got - eighteen books total - third time I've received a box of the free copies and of course they were the error copies so I deposited those directly in the trash.  So, we're hoping the right copies will either ship late today or early tomorrow.

Co-stars who become lovers/parents...what a cliché. ::)

TOD:

I enjoy Hatch’s score for The Card (I have two recordings), but nothing in it holds a candle to Downtown, Sign of the Times or Don’t Sleep in the Subway.

I also enjoy the score to The Card and those songs. :)
