Got an ultrasound of my abdomen today, did a boatload of work, made it to the noon Lent service, loaded the dishwasher, got the laundry going and did a really strenuous dance class -- and I really feel as if I haven't accomplished anything today. Seriously.

Seriously!  You did a lot today.

Back from seeing a club act - I'd totally forgotten that was happening.  Alexis Gershwin - close to ninety, whose uncles were George and Ira.  No, it wasn't good but I admire anyone who gets up and does anything at ninety.  Or eighty.  Or even my age :)

I have watched parts of two Community Theatre productions of PICNIC on YouTube.

I am embarrassed for everyone involved in both shows....everything is wrong...no on can act....one is SLIGHTLY better....SLIGHTLY....

And of course there is the "dance" scene where they proceed to do The Twist in one of the shows....   The actors playing Hal in each production are beanpoles and should never remove their shirts in public.

I was hardly a beanpole when I played Hal, but thank goodness I was in better shape than I am now.  And yes, I did take off my shirt.

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster to star on Broadway next season in THE MUSIC MAN.  I would love to see that production.

I guess it wasn’t worth the effort.
