This is one of those occasions where I completely agree with you.

PHANTOM LADY could have been a classic noir, but once Franchot Tone makes his entrance, there is absolutely no question as to who the "bad guy" is. Indeed, the only thing missing was a flashing sign over his head that read "Bad Guy!".

PHANTOM LADY is one of the films I watched when I was writing my play, B MOVIE, which deals with the Franchot Tone, Barbara Payton, Tom Neal scandal.

We caught the first episode; not sure we will go back to it.

It seems like it's a female version of THE BLACKLIST with James Spader, which we quit after the first season.

Annabelle is quite affectionate this morning. She's been purring, clucking, and trilling up a storm, and insisting on being held, which was a problem while I tried to clean the litter. On patrol she lounged in the hall like Claudette Colbert in Cleopatra, played tag, posed in the windows, and climbed all over me. She wears me out.
