Sometimes I wish there was a way to quickly hypnotize me and ask where a missing item was left.

Talking about strange things happening (we were, weren't we?), how about this puzzler:

A week or so ago I purchased a box of oatmeal-coconut cookies, which sounded tasty. The box had a cardboard zipper on it, which you pull to open. I opened it to find two plastic trays of cookies, each wrapped and sealed in plastic. EXCEPT, the top tray had been opened and several of the cookies missing! I didn't keep the box so I can't really check, but I keep wondering if there's a way to somehow open the box without undoing the zipper. Otherwise, the theft must have occurred at the factory. I tried the untampered with cookies and didn't much care for them and don't plan to buy them again, but it has left me wondering.

I would say that is strange.  Maybe it was a machine that had a glitz and didn't put all of the cookies in.  Or Lucy & Ethel were in charge of filling the boxes.

I like your Lucy and Ethel explanation, except that the plastic surrounding the tray was clearly ripped. Maybe it was Lucy or Ethel's job to put the sealed trays into the box.

I'll have to call Hercule Poirot about the missing items. Do you think he'll come out of retirement for me? Or did he not pass away during one of the episodes?

Did you take them back for a refund?  Even if you tasted the untampered cookies, you should get your money back.

Lots of pollen here this season because we had far more rain than usual this winter. Lots of people suffering.

Allergy vibes for all!

I'm not sure where I bought them. I could see if I still have the receipt. If I do I may mention it to the store manager just because they should know. And I wouldn't mind getting my money back, either.

TOD:

I've been watching REBUS, a Scottish detective series, starring Ken Stott. I like Ken Stott quite a bit in this.

When something like that happens to me DR JEANNE, I just always figure it was someone's first day on the job.

DR JANE it doesn't bother me to sit and talk with folks who are having a drink.....it gives me more time to talk!

Well, so much for that.  After about 10 minutes the weathermen came on and have been talking about tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings.

Lady Jane, I also don't drink so I get my cranberry and soda and enjoy my friends company.  If you don't have to be somewhere, why not dine instead of just eat.
