I dozed, but I mostly just watched the cats play and climb over me.

Funny you never hear any little girls named Debby anymore, but when I was in school there were tons of us

I had no idea it was such a popular name.

And I loved Debbie Reynolds.

I hope DR Vixmom feels the same ;)

I always preferred the spelling Debby.

Growing up there were always 3 or 4 of us in every classroom. But I do not know any children with that name

I leave you all with best vibes for the day, including pain-be-gone and postal vibes for DR Elmore.

You know, hearing these experiences, a person could easily come to believe that NYC postal workers — both the carriers and the inside people — just outright despise their jobs and the residents they serve.

And okay, I doubt it’s a hundred percent of them, and maybe BK would argue for LA taking the prize, but it’s just nowhere near that in many other places.

I have never experienced it in any of the places we have lived.

Of course infamously linking the name with a city in Texas may have well contributed to its loss of popularity

What are you referring to?

HA!  Enjoyed the photos in the notes and of course The BK Story.....

It was terrific.....I first encountered MR BK because the book Benjamin Kritzer was recommended to me by former DR JMK.  Then he introduced me to this here site....well the old site....in  1994....and I have been here ever since....

I had lots of girls named Debbie, Debby, Deb, and Deborah in my school classes during the years....I also have a cousin named Debbie on both sides of my family....

DR DRUXY is correct I think......there can be something off putting about her....and I think Mr Eddie Fisher wrote that she is ALWAYS in competition with everyone around her to be the center of attention...etc....

BUT I like her a lot.....and I love a lot of her movies....favorites include:

Singin' In the Rain
The Pleasure of His Company
The Gazebo
Divorce American Style
Goodbye, Charlie
What's the Matter With Helen?

I'm up, I'm up - maybe a little over four hours of sleep.  I did get to bed by one-thirty, fell asleep by two, but woke up with an upset tummy at five and was up for about ninety minutes, then back to bed for another hour or so.

I too have, at times, found Debbie Reynolds a bit off putting, still on the whole I have enjoyed her performances.

Tammy and the Bachelor
Singing in the Rain
Goodbye, Charlie

And of course Tammy & The Bachelor.....

There is a scene in which Debbie as a tour guide tells the story of the house and the young girl who lived there that is very touching and real......

I am also reminded that tomorrow is The Cinco de The Mayo.

What a weekend.

It definitely will be...and I'm certainly looking forward to tomorrow's The Cinco de The Mayo!

If you live near Leesburg, FL, my play, Spencer TRACY, is being staged at the Melon Patch Theatre later this month (May 24-26).

Congrats, Druxy!  Break Legs!!

The redelivery occurred around 2:00, and it was not the long-awaited check.  My hell continues.  It was an eviction threat from the landlord.

Back from a light breakfast and then gathering some packages.  She of the Evil Eye has left the premises and I'm listening to music.

Sandra who was perfect as Gidget didn't not pull off the Tammy roll, but then the script wasn't nearly as good.  I wish they had not made any Tammy sequels.
