Got news on Facebook of the death of a former coworker who was one of the funniest people I ever met. Steve tried his hand at standup comedy years ago. I hadn’t seen him years.

I'm so sorry, John.  My condolences to you and his family. :(

And I just got news of a huge inoperable mass on the brain of a second cousin -- not someone I've really "known", but one who I've been around a few times over the past several years.  He's somewhere around 60 years of age.

That's terrible!

And there was no check in today's mail.

That's terrible, too!

If you're going to the store at the start of the week, bring a friend. Your shopping is best done with a partner right now. You may need some advice, or you may go in on a big purchase together. The benefits of the shopping excursion also may have nothing to do with the shopping itself. A conversation with a pal on Wednesday about the difference between the things you want and the things you need sets you up to be in deep-thinking mode on Thursday and Friday. This weekend, if you're feeling stuck, take a risk.

Okay, who wants to go in with me on the condo?

So, where do things stand with the condo?  Did I miss something while I was brooding?

I'm sorry, DR JohnG.  Last night I dreamed about my friend Loyce, who died last year.

I shall be on my way in a bit for the second session of auditions....if there are a lot of folks there, I may not get to read again.

HOWEVER toward the end of the evening, if it's not too late, I hope I am able to use DR VIXMOM's suggestion.

I do hope you will be able to use Vixmom's suggestion.  It would be very funny if you got the role over that young woman.

Today, I have my annual eye exam.  I'm eligible to get new frames and lenses.  If I need a new prescription, I'll probably et new frames, and keep my current frames and lenses as another back-up.  If I don't need a new prescription, I'm thinking about trying contacts again.  The only reason that I stopped wearing them was that they can be just a little too inconvenient to deal with...not a lot, just a little.  But I actually have some sunglasses that I can't wear because of my regular glasses. So, the contacts.  Maybe. ;D

The one time use contacts are very convenient.

There is that, but I didn't (at the time...and still don't) want to have to keep paying for them over and over again.

Keith feels the same way, about my paying over & over again for them.  Not only are they more convenient, they are far more comfortable to me.

This check is not only screwing up my financial life, but it's playing with my health - I cannot get to the pharmacy to pay for my meds from last week's visit to my HMO - and Annabelle's, but with my social life.  I cannot make tomorrow afternoon's dress for High Button Shoes since I must be here to deposit the check if it arrives in tomorrow's mail.  With the rate my luck is going, I'll sit here all day tomorrow and it will not be in the post.

Yes, congratulations!  I had to rush to leave early today for an unpleasant test and just now read the notes.

The test went well and is nothing to worry about, kind of semi-routine.

We just received notification that, due to the rising temperatures, the pool will be opening early.  It should be ready on Thursday or Friday.

I am not sure how much my crooked elbow will affect my swimming abilities, beyond what my elbow has done.  I am looking forward to finding out.

I hope the pool is open Thursday morning as I have a haircut on Friday morning & no way am I swimming after getting my hair done.

I read the notes and loved the new What If lyrics, but I can't believe I didn't mention that!  Congrats, BK and Cast!  And it's a great cast picture, too! :D

Well, I had my eye exam today and nothing changed!  I don't need a new prescription, but I'm still thinking about actually getting another pair of glasses, or contacts again, just because they're covered and that's what I pay for.

I did use DR VIXMOM's suggestion at the end of the day.....we had had three readings of The Call Girl with three Georges and three CGs.

Then the director asked if anybody wanted to read anything they hadn't read.....so I raised my hand and said:  "Maybe you would like to hear the Call Girl from and older and wiser perspective.....and male.....I think that would be interesting."

There was general mirth and merriment.....and then the director said thank you and declined the offer.

AND now we wait for the results.....

In the meantime, I got the royalty check today for the production of my play, Spencer TRACY, in Florida later this month.
