This afternoon I am escorting Rob Berman's mother Debby to the matinee of High Button Shoes. I look forward to seeing her as much as I do to seeing the show.  I've deliberately avoided reading anything about the show on the chat boards.

Have a fun day.

I suppose anything in Disney's original Fantasia could be termed a War Horse.

AFTRA Pension vibes for MR BK.

When I retired from the STATE....or WAS retired....I had the option of a lump sum or a monthly option.  Since I was only 54 at the time (my age and my years of service added together made me eligible)....I chose the monthly sum.

It isn't much, but here it is 15 years later - almost - and I have certainly collected the lump sum several time over.  If offered the same option at NEARLY 69 years old, I might opt for the bigger amount now.

I just got off the phone with the radiology group, apparently there was a mixup with the appointments and they cannot accommodate me where and when I was scheduled.

This particular group has several locations so I've been rescheduled for a location 12 miles further away  and 2 hours earlier

I had seriously considered going and in fact had gone as far as choosing a seat on the online ticket system and then the site froze and crashed and I never got back to it

Thatch just got a new scratching post from UPS, so he's entertaining himself.  Annabelle helped me for a bit with a Moross score until she got bored picking up jumb paper clips and decided to lie down on the job, which ended my work.

I need a little breakfast before I bathe and prepare to head out.

Tom, did you see this?  I really want to see it.

No, I have not seen it. Strangely, I am going to see LAURA tonight.  Since the director is a member of the old actor's lunch bunch, I feel compelled to see it.  Also, the actor who played George Bailey in IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE is one of the suspects in the show.

I also wanted to see former DR, Jed Slaughter, in INSPECTING CAROL, but since it is closing tomorrow, I doubt I will have the chance.

Oh well, you can't see them all.  Although George and Chas try very hard.

I've been quite E&T this week, but it's been a week.  We opened Mamma Mia (the guilty pleasure musical) to a full house.  I'm running the playback (no band, theatre company ran out of $$ this season for musicians - 'nuff said about that) and it's a really great show.  Very well sung, directed, etc.  It'll be fun for the next few weekends.

Other than that, counting the days until the end of the school year - in which I'm in turn, counting the days until my next - and possibly my last for a while - to Disneyland in June.  And of course, Holland/London in July/August.

DR Matthew, why do you say possibly last for a while?

I know more than one person who’s blown away by recent or upcoming changes in Disney pricing policy, and they’ve made that statement for that very reason.
