When I was growing up, my sister and I had a book, Hilda Boswell's Treasury of Children's Stories (this eBay listing has a picture of the table of contents).  I just loved reading the stories and looking at the pictures. :)

I just noticed that this has a story from The Arabian Nights, BK.

My favorites were "The Story of Fairyfoot" and "Through the Fire."

Well, I need to get going.  My computer needs to restart so that it can be updated, so I'll do that.  It'll probably take a little while, so I'm off to bed.

Have a good day, all!

The cat saga continues.  Stella ate all of her salmon, but even when I moved their food bowls, Thatch and Annabelle ate little.  I let Stella out of her cage and she wandered into the bathroom, followed by curious Annabelle.  As soon as Annabelle got too close, Stella snarled and hissed and Annabelle panicked,  jumped onto the toilet seat and ran.  Later, Stella ran into Thatch on the window, and there was no confrontation; he simply ran away.

Thatch did come back and sleep with me most of the night, so that made me very happy.  Annabelle arrived around 4:30 to crawl under the blankets for warmth.  It's mighty chilly these days.  Where did Spring go?

The best news is that all of my major bills from my financial crunch are paid off.  The last two checks just cleared my bank this morning.  I'm happy that hurdle is over.

I did not hear from Rob Berman yesterday, so I'm hoping I do today. I've got another Moross score to finish up this week to send to my copyist Scott this weekend.

TOD

I loved the Wonderful Wizard of Oz and Alice In Wonderland. I had both on record and I would listen to them and follow them with the books.

Regarding Louis de Funes he only had one movie that crossed over into North America. It was The Adventures of Rabbi Jacob. His other films were “too French “ and didn’t work here. I did see some of his other films when I lived in Montreal, but they were never released in an English dubbed or subtitle.

I had a wonderful story book called  Tales of All Lands as I recall.  My grandmother gave it to me when I was5.  I still may have it around somewhere

Annabelle continues to approach Stella's cage to investigate.  Thatch prefers to observe her from across the room.

At the moment, Stella is playing with a catnip mouse and blissfully stoned.

Thank for you the photographic evidence, BK.

I'm always pleased to find that Astro Burger hasn't substantially changed over the years. When I knew it, that interior was definitely older and plainer, nothing really modern about it then, but their modernizing and general brightening up has never altered the character and feel of the place. Kudos to them for that.

I just saw Thatch walk from the bathroom, dart past Stella and run to my bed.  That means he's gone to the litter box, thank God.  I've been worried about his bowels since I'd seen no sign that he was crossing Stella's path to use it in the past two days.

Is Stella's cage sitting where Thatch's was?
