DR TCB people I know have been happier with top loading washers rather than front loading washers for one reason or another.....

I prefer them, however, Tom which is easier for you to use?

Keyboard patches present and accounted for, and sounding good. Programmer did a fine job on this one. I feel all synth-y now.

And the book can practically be sightread. I'm ready a week early. Woo-hoo! That just doesn't happen as often as one would like it to.

I got a top loading washer because it was a LOT cheaper, and it would've taken YEARS to make up the difference.  It's been 12 1/2 years since I got them.  I wonder if that's how long it would've taken. ::) Of course, price isn't the only consideration.

I'm looking forward to hearing the audio of GEE. I'm glad it's happening.

Most other books I prefer to read, but I'd like to hear GEE read. (I read it, too.)

Friday afternoon greetings!  We are back from beautiful downtown Hamilton, OH, where we heard a lecture about native American history in Butler County and then had lunch at one of our favorite delis.

They were supposed to deliver Thatch's heart medicine, which has gone up from December by $20.00, by 3:00 and I just got a text they're running late.  This pisses me off since I need to step out.

We had to move to a new building at work today. It was just across the street, but I surprised they let us. Some of the computer monitors are terribly expensive.

I was just glad they finally agreed to make room for the two of us from content. That had been in doubt.

So I moved all of our stuff (Krista is still on maternity leave) and managed to get one work station working.

Been on the phone with acx about many things - very helpful guy.  GEE is weird because Diana isn't on the site as a narrator - I've told her she may want to do that, as it makes everything easier, the specs are right at her fingertips, she uploads all the files and it's done.  If she doesn't, then we remove the book and start over and I do all that myself - I'm sure it's easy.  She'd get me all the files and I'd upload them.  She'd still have to look at the specs page and figure all that out.  But the interesting thing with GEE is that they want separate files for each chapter - that's easy for every book I've written EXCEPT this book, which only has two chapters, one per part.  So, we have to break those into increments now - so perhaps five or six increments of about twenty pages per increment and then the narrator begins each increment with Chapter One, A, Chapter One B, etc.  And it actually may have to be Part One, Chapter One A, B, C, D, E, F.  We'll figure all that out.

The other book is much easier as there are twenty-one chapters and each chapter gets its own file.  And I've hired that gal, too.  And she's reading it now and in a week will do the first fifteen or twenty pages first, I'll hear, give notes and on we'll go.  I'm also going to give her an mp3 of me reading Patrick Bronstein so she can hear the rhythm of him and what I hear as his voice.  That will help her.  I think she'll "get" all the other characters.

Starting a movie called The Nightcomers with Marlon Brando. It's based on The Turn of the Screw. Never heard of it until the library got it.

It's a prequel about Peter Quint and Miss Jessel.
