Sodas were for special occasions only when I was growing up. We could get one can apiece. I remember liking some of the ones with fruit flavors, like black cherry or strawberry, probably because they had more sugar. My absolute favorite, though, was Wink, which Canada Dry made, and it had a kind of grapefruit flavor. Most incredible stuff ever. The closest thing to it these days is Squirt, which I can get here made with sugar instead of corn syrup. I have one about once a year these days.

I don't remember when I discovered it, but I really liked Squirt.  Now I drink diet Squirt.  It's one of my regular purchases.  I wish Ruby Red Squirt was available in a diet version, thought.
