I also received an interesting piece of mail from the attorney for my late publicist friend Bob Ullman's estate. I'm a beneficiary in Bob's will.

Justin Bridges was the librarian looking after my Miami University collection. I had hoped to go back last summer and help him with DR Ginny get it in order. I just now learned that he died on Aug. 2 from colon cancer. I am in shock. He was a really good man. I will miss him.

Today was a baking day at the church. There was some reporter who showed up as I was cleaning up the kitchen. I got out before he asked to talk to me. I don't need no reporters.

Back from picking up Xerox, which was not even begun - I brought it in noon yesterday and they were so appreciative that I could wait until noon today and yet there it sat - so they did it while I waited - annoying but done, at least.

Ended up at Jerry's for the fourth and final time this week - chicken tenders were underdone and like biting into rubber - I almost vomited on the ground and back they went, replaced by a bowl of chili - which was very good for about a third of it, but naturally I kept eating (I left some, believe me) and now I feel completely gross.

Thanks, Jrand! But it's not so much someone else deciding how I should do my job, but someone else thinking they know WHAT I do in my job, which is probably why the outside consulting firm decided to downgrade my job...because they don't have all the information.

If the downgrade holds would it reduce your salary?

I gather you were given the reasons your job was downgraded and are able to see what they are missing in their evaluation.
