He was always amusing as a guest on The Merv Griffin Show...not so much on Dick Cavett when they were both competing to be the most amusing and cloying.....

I had planned to stay in all day but my glasses just broke and I must take them down to the vendor and have them repaired.  Damn!

I just closed my carry-on bag filled with what I hope will be enough clothing for two weeks.  Now to measure it to be sure it will be ok size wise.

Well, I must be off.  My niece "needs" me to put up some more plastic siding on her chicken coop. ::) It shouldn't take too long, then I should be free until tomorrow night when I work concessions at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts.

Tommy Orange, the author of There There will be here in Olympia to read from and discuss his book.  It's this year's Timberland Reads Together title.  I'm reading it right now.  I'm about halfway through, but I don't think I'll be able to finish by tomorrow, but we'll see.
